Loved SNES games so soon. Luigi's Mansion now looks the pick of their Christmas lineup.
Stunned about Deadly Premonition 2 and Return of the Obra Dinn coming to Switch is something I predicted a while ago but wasnt sure when it would happen. Papers Please will probably come sometime too.

Haven't played Xenoblade Chronicles so hopefully it runs better than the sequel did on Switch....
Tokyo Mirage Sessions is in the same boat I've never played but interested in both of them.

Wasn't impressed by Pokemon & Animal Crossing at all, both look graphically better than ever but don't do anything new that's particularly impressive. Both looked more than a bit boring unless you like sitting by a campfire in a video game or buying in game items that do....nothing essentially.

I don't like them adding extra DLC fighters to Smash outside the fighters pass especially just after announcing imo a very underwhelming character, I think we'll get Waluigi & Geralt now tho.

Undertale costume will be available(reaffirming that it's a personal thing with Sakurai). It's turning into a bit of a shill. Sakurai asks how long he can keep updating Ultimate. Given how long he spent on the Wii U/3DS version, I could hazard a guess. I shouldn't have surprised that they're gonna keep going with DLC and undeserving fighters in the game.

It did say something about online play (for some of the) SNES games, right? I so bad want Super Mario Kart online

Apparently D:OS2 will support cross-save with the Steam version.

Lots of good stuff there for me.
Hadnt heard of Deadly Premonition before so will definitely look into that.
    SNES games = epic.
Assassin's Creed games are a fav of mine so that news is welcome.
The Obra Dinn was one i hoped would come to Switch after all the good reviews for it. Day one.
All in all im very happy with that direct. So much stuff coming out.

Jedi Outcast. That’s a game I’ve not played in a long time. A long time. Since, oh, before you were born. Don’t seem to ever recall playing it with a controller before. Interesting.

    End Kenobi.

Interesting release though. Especially considering that Kyle Katarn isn’t canon anymore.

Divinity Original Sin 2 with Steam cross saves is excellent news. It's a fantastic game.

On the other hand overwatch not having cross saves/progression is disappointing and reason for me to stay away.

Overall, it was a pretty good direct.

Out tomorrow (thought it was the 6th). Excellent!

I'm really looking forward to the monthly updates too. Bring on Chronotrigger. :)

Here's hoping they all run at NTSC speeds!

I wonder if the follow-up will get a release as well?

It doesn't have that on any other version so the Switch version wasn't going to have it either.

I was hoping for a release date for Steangers Wrath.

    It was playable at Gamescom.

I was hoping for a release date for Steangers Wrath.

    It was playable at Gamescom.

That seems like the low key kind of release that will just show up on the store one day.

I would think so. It was released on GameCube too yes? I primarily played on PC back then, but I imagine this is a GC port, rather than a PC port.

IGN confirmed that Jedi Academy is also on the way, early next year.

Any idea what time the Super Nintendo games go live today?

Pretty good direct with plenty of exciting looking games. Pokemon/Animal Crossing aren't my scene at all but to have huge audiences so fair enough to highlight them.

Definitely picking up Doom 64 and now leaning towards getting Luigi's Mansion 3 for Christmas too.

I think the SNES games are tomorrow for Europe, and today in the US.

It's more or less the lineup on the SNES mini ain't it?

Not arsed with the NES games but with the SNES games Nintendo online seems worth having all of a sudden.

That really does say Brawl Brothers, doesn't it? Is that the sequel to Rival Turf?

Not that I'm not happy with it, I flippin am, but how did that make the list?

Looks like a Final Fight kind of game.

Bought the SNES mini when it came out and I have barely used it. To have these games on the switch is fantastic. It’s a great list to start and hopefully they’ll be adding a couple a month from now on like the NES games.

Yeah, you've Rival Turf which is the localised version of Rushing beat.
Bawl Brothers is the localised version of Rushing Beat Ran, the sequal.

I never liked Ran but always had a soft spot for the original Rushing Beat.

Good to see they listened to my suggestion of a new demo for Daemon X Machina. May actually try it out and see how it is

SNES out at 7pm EST in America, allegedly.
If it's a worldwide simultaneous launch, that's midnight tonight for us.

Loved the direct, I just watched it and didn't know what was coming because I avoided the newsfeed. Very excited about everything.

I didn't even think about online SNES mario kart! Hopefully it's possible!
