    Folks,

After I don't know how many TV, audio etc purchases looking at moving from my Sony Bravia 52" to a 55" with the following comments to be taken into consideration please....

...picture quality, it's all about the picture quality, I have a very low tolerance to blur or judder of any description, it must have true 24fps playback as this is 99% of my viewing, the TV must be less than 3cm in depth to accommodate a PJ screen from above passing over, Saorview HD decoding

desirables, 25fps (UK BR Rips) and 30fps (the odd US iTunes DL), USB recording to generic HDD, USB playback of .mkv files as this is the format I rip my BR's to...

don't care about, 3D, smart functionality, sound quality, DNLA, wifi etc, great if the TV has them but I'm not bothered as this will essentially be a monitor for 95% of the time

I will consider anything up to €1,200 delivered to Athlone, cannot be Samsung as I do not want to risk crosstalk issues with Sony 1040, you can compare to my previous TV purchases if you like for comparison

Brief research highlights the Panny TX-55AS650B or LG's 55LB561V / 55LB650V, open to comments, suggestions etc. also on the lookout for a wireless speaker for the young one, not a big budget and only going to get if I go for a TV, nothing more than £40-£50 and there's a well rated on on Amazon I've my eye on, must be mains powered...

    Regards guys
