Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Cockhill's goal was a 40 yard lob apparently.

    Galway missed a penalty

Both of Cockhill's goals were world class. United were ****e in the first half but ended up winning comfortably after a decent second half performance.

Very happy with that result in Sligo.
Sligo are p*** poor this season.

I'd say that if you were standing in a fluorescent coat anywhere in South Dublin you were dumped in a van and brought to Blackrock tonight. Some amount of stewards...

Alas we were done by a late Paul O'Conor goal but these things can happen when you are asked to play football in a grey city which can suck the life out of you. O'Conor has form in scoring goals against Dundalk. It's almost as if he's on a personal mission to prove me wrong ever since I claimed that he's been crap ever since he left UCD.

Anyway, no time to mope. Back on the horse this evening as we continue our defence of the EA Sports Cup. Shels are coming to town. A glorious day so far in Dundalk. Hopefully Shels will bring a few up and we can all enjoy some free flowing football and Sing Li curry chips.

    Limerick 0-3 Bohemians.... ;)

Longford twice in the space of 4 days. Hopefully we continue on our decent run.

Just seeing Soccer Republic now. Why do they have someone as dull as Trevor Croly as a pundit? Jesus he's painful to listen to. Cawley to his credit comes across as enthusiastic but he really needs a better partner as a pundit.

Croly" Half back passes to the centre. Back to the wing. Back to the centre. Centre Holds it. holds it... hoooolds it pfft...
Cawley" HALF BACK PASSES TO CENTRE! BACK TO WING! BACK TO CENTRE! CENTER HOLDS IT! HOOOLDS IT! HOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLDSSSSSSSS IT!!!

Expect to see wholesale changes to our side tonight, we've made very little changes, other than those enforced by injury/suspension, so far.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

EA Sports cup results from tonight. Notable result for UCC who are now in the quarter finals as a non-league entity at the expense of county rivals Cobh.

Crumlin United 1-4 St Patrick's Athletic
    Dundalk 1-0 Shelbourne
    Bohemians 3-1 Longford Town
University College Cork 3-2 Cobh Ramblers

Scored 3 decent goals tonight, this possibly the best.

    OG for one.

Not had a chance to speak to the auld fella yet. Crumlin any use? I read the brother had one cleared off the line early on

Bohs were excellent last night. Bar their goal which we gifted them, Longford didn't look up to much in truth. Bohs full of running to the end, playing a nice bit of ball in the process and scoring three very good goals.

Yeah should have scored more, soon as Chambers/Forrester came on we dominated the midfield but there no 11 played very well. Unlucky not to score in fairness.

The midfield we had wasnt going to win a battle with an experienced LSL side.

Decent showing by a youthful Dundalk side last night against Shels. Only won 1-0 but we dominated throughout and it was only in the last five minutes when we dropped deep that Shels threatened. Good to see Stephen O'Donnell get 90 minutes under his belt. We had a 16 year old, two seventeen year old's and two eighteen year old's in our first eleven last night. Good to see youth players being given a chance to impress.

Crazy finish to the UCC - Ramblers game, it was 2-0 to UCC after 87 mins and after a bizarre few minutes that saw Cobh level it to 2-2, UCC won it with the last kick of the game.

Great performance from Bohs 2nd strong last night, team is a joy to watch. Feels weird to be so optimistic!

Anybody know when the draw for the quarter finals of the EA Sports Cup will be made? Bar UCC it's a pretty strong looking last eight.

    Dundalk
    Cork
    Rovers
    Pats
    Bohs
    Derry
    Galway
    UCC

The draw was made on 7th May last year. QF matches are being played a week earlier that last year, so draw could be a little earlier.

    Quarter-finals
    May 18th (Mon) & May 19th (Tues)

    Semi Finals
    August 3rd (Mon)

    Final
    September 19th (Sat)
