Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Liverpool team news straight off BT Sport

    kba91z.jpg

Looking at the two teams side by side, realistically Arsenal should win this easily. Doesnt really work that way but man for man Arsenal seem much stronger

why won't that show as an image?

Why are Liverpool not playing any strikers?

Welbeck or Walcott should be in for Ramsey for balance I think. Liverpool are weak at defending the wings and Cazorla or Ozil out on the left will suit them a bit more I think.

They've a striker bang in form, a couple of world class attacking midfield options and one brilliant CB.

Liverpool have some good players but no-one on that kind of level.

Still might always count for nothing.

    Sterling up top.

After the week's news about him I can't resist throwing a few quid on him to score anytime

Weird my browser won't show that image, presumably Sturridge will be on the second half, he looked fit and lively in a training video posted yesterday. Meanwhile Sterling gets to play up front which is soooooooooo important to him it seems!

    hopefully like this

    Mignolet,
    ---Can, Toure, Sakho,
    Marko----Lucas---Moreno
    ----Hendo----Allen
    Coutinho,
    Sterling

In the link you posted there are options on the left hand side. One of them is "IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards" and if you copy the text in that box and paste it in here it shows up as a picture.

It's a weird one. Macey is our fourth choice keeper as far as I'm aware and whatever about having him on the bench for a lower league game, a match with such importance as this is risky despite the fact it probably won't happen.

But there was no news of Szez being injured.

    Was that just announced there?

ETA: Sorry just saw it there on twitter.

Sterling to score and not celebrate.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,128 ✭✭✭✭Oranage2

I'd also would have liked to see some pace on the wing but you can't really drop any of our front 4 either.

Sometimes its not about which team or horse is best its that the price is just too big to ignore (plenty of gamblers work on that principle)

Well yeah my point was about price. Arsenal are being rated as slightly the better team by the current price. Saying Liverpool are 'way too big a price' as he did would infer Liverpool as being the better side going into today, which would defy logic.

Great chance for Sterling to put himself in the shop window here, up against a big club.

Tough game to call. Sturridge and Skrtel missing will be tough.
Great to have Lucas back. Missed him badly. Sterling back up top will cause Arsenal loads of problems.

I always take people who refer to Liverpool as a small club as an envious compliment.

Ah at least wait till the game starts before judging his performance.

There is a lot of pressure on Sterling today after all his mouthing during the week. He talks of winning things he needs to show he's capable of playing in a team that can do that.

Very interesting to see how Liverpool react. They have questionable bottle so now it's time to show up in a meaningful game

Sanchez isolating Moreno will win Arsenal the game, shocking defender he should roast him alive

He's not that good no and Moreno is still young and improving.

Sterling starting while Sturridge is benched. I doubt that has anything to do with the contract situation but it's a ballsy decision from Rodgers. The plan it seems would be to run through Arsenal. It'll be interesting to see how that works out.

Ray Winston always strikes me as a Millwall sort of man.

Anybody else fed up with how pervasive the betting ads are now? They are integrated so much into the broadcast. It's so grubby.

Coutinho on Mertesacker? if anything Coutinho is better suited for Mertesacker to defend against than Sterling is

Sterling playing off his shoulder would cause a lot more problems

If Wenger has done his homework he'll have Coq cutting off the space for Coutinho between the lines

There is a World Cup winners medal floating around somewhere that says you're talking shíte.

I remember the same tripe being talked before Per dominated against United.

Not Michael Owen again. My poor ears.

His horse won so he'll be in a good mood. Maybe the monotone will be left at home for once.....

Djimi Traore has a Champion's League medal so your argument is moot.

Mertesacker playing is good news at least!!
Whether we can take advantage is another thing.

I recall Germany only improved in the WC when he went out of the team, woeful defender imo.

Playing for a club who got lucky, and being called up to an international squad that dominated the competition has no comparison. You're talkin through your hole and you know you are.
