Canon Powershot SX510 Lens Hood?

    Hi everyone. Firstly, sorry if this is in the wrong place.... I have a Canon Powershot SX510 camera and I was just wondering if it's possible to attach a lens hood to it. I'm not a professional photographer and don't know much about the attachments etc. I photograph outdoors mostly and being Ireland, always seems to be raining which messes up the pictures as the drops are on the lens. A lens hood might be of some help but I'm not sure if one will attach to my camera. There aren't any 'grooves' on the outside of the lens barrel thingy, only on the inside where the lens cover attaches. Maybe there are some sort of universal hoods that can attach to it anyway?
    If anyone could help me I'd be very grateful and please excuse my terminology lol .
