He is very articulate for a 10 year old. Fair play to him.

Ah in fairness Pippa always seems pretty sound. She has a great sense of style and certainly doesn't go around flaunting herself. I'd have no issues with her really. I suppose wait and see how she gets on tomorrow night before ye go cutting the back off her!

UFC - about as credible as wrestling.

UFC - about as credible as KFC.

Love Paul Brady's rendition of Arthur McBride.

Endemic of everything that is wrong with the lower classes.

Paul Brady could be an older James Harries

Love Paul Brady's rendition of Arthur McBride.

Lakes of Pontchartrain is my favourite Paul Brady Song,

    Class song.

I wouldn't be into UFC at all (I admire the discipline of MMA, but the actual UFC fights are ridiculous and I hate all the amateur dramatics that go with it) but if the kid has a hobby that keeps him fit, disciplined, makes friends, teaches others how to do it, gives him confidence (so long as it doesn't venture into cockiness of course) and keeps him focused- I say fair play to him.

Not my cup of tea, but there are plenty of kids out there who do sweet f.a. with their free time, and they're the "little $hits" we should be worried about in the future, not that wee chap.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,554 ✭✭✭CH3OH

The kid made the mistake of saying that he was "on one of the biggest tv shows in Ireland"

When Ryan knows it is the biggest in Ireland

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,739 ✭✭✭✭Ol' Donie

Paul Brady is a brilliant songwriter.

But I can't think of any situation in the world that would make me say "Quick, put on that Paul Brady cd." Unless the party was getting too lively or something.

Weird sense of deja vu typing this. I think it's because I've said this on here before.

I think McGregor is a good character but if this is the influence he has on kids it isn't a good thing. The world would be a better place if people were a little more humble.

Ask him what he's been up to since R.E.M. split :pac:

Keep interrupting Ryan, don't let him chat even though he's a seriously interesting man.

And keep an eye on the clock Ryan, no more than 14 minutes with one of the true greats of Irish music.

You would think with his vast few bob he would head over for a visit, perhaps he's like Mr T and doesn't do planes.

I like Paul Brady a lot but somebody should tell him that the Olive from On The Buses glasses are not a good look.

Is being pretty sound a good enough reason to get on the Late Late?

She's not famous for anything or does anything of note.

One of those annoying celebs that seem to thrive in Ireland like Rosanna Davison, Georgia Salpa, Lisa Murphy etc.

To be fair, whilst I'm all for a bit of confidence, I'd agree with this. I find a lot of teenagers nowadays adopt the whole "I can be anything I want to be" kind of attitude. Which sadly, is BS. There are only a certain amount of things any of us are suitable for or capable of, no matter how hard we might work for it. Hard work only gets you so far- ability, circumstance and even luck have a huge huge part to do with it.

The reason he interrupts is he fears the dreaded chance that a necessity for a follow up question may occur. Follow the scripted questions, all will be well.

McGregor is a humble guy. Those UFC press conference's are just to ryle up the fans and create more media attention towards the fight.More attention is more money, more sponsors and he seems to be the only fighter in the UFC who has copped onto that.

Have a look at some of his one to one interviews, he a lot more reserved.

Dont forget the male versions like the husband Brian Ormond and Donal Skeehan. Seems likes there is a whole generation of stars in RTE whose only purpose is to be on screen without talent to back it up

Hard to believe, to be honest. I know some of it is for show, but it's a very big stretch to call him humble.

Having lived abroad, I came to appreciate that!
