If this thread is the reason you’re happy to leave naas then you have some odd priorities. You know you don’t have to follow this thread to live in Naas?

My son is due to start secondary school in Sept - he has a place in Piper's which we accepted as on waiting list for CBS (late 30's) wants to go to CBS. If there was someone who had a place in CBS and was waiting for a place in Piper's would the schools allow a swop? Getting anxious that he won't have a chance to get a place in CBS

No, the place should go to the first student on the waiting list.

    Anyone else think same?

Devine Guinness and peacefulness sounds like heaven to me. Hope it never changes.

You can't "swop", all you can do is accept or decline the place.

My son was in the same position some time ago, he got a place in CBS the day before they started back in September. I know a number of others got places in the first few days of term, as there are always a few who just don't turn up in September. If he doesn't get in, there may be a chance to transfer at the end of first year.

Thanks - yes will hold out for a place but it's very frustrating that people hold onto places till the last minute and don't let the school know they aren't going!

anyone know what the purpose of the road works between the Harvey Norman/B&Q business park and toughers business park on the road to Newbridge. Its beside the M7, so wondering if there is a new road or a new bridge over it. seems to be going on a while.

I’ll be glad when this election is over
Don’t think I have ever seen as many election candidates posters up between the ball and Naas racecourse
It’s absolutely ridiculous and far too many

It should be limited to a certain amount per Sq km

    You should see Galway!

Should really be a limit of 2 per Street per candidate
