    Good morning,

I understand that the daily ATM cash withdrawal limit in the USA is €200 maximum per day.  Is there any way to have this increased by calling BOI before travelling or is it set in stone?  I understand it is supposed to be a security / fraud measure but it can be very limiting in some instances.

    Thanks.

    Hi Harcrid

Thanks for getting in touch with us here on Boards.

Sorry, it's not possible to increase the daily ATM limit within the US when using your Visa Debit Card. Although, this daily limit does not effect point of sale transactions and some retailers may allow you cash back with your transaction.

We would also suggest noting your travel plans with us. For Visa Debit Cards this can be recorded on your account by logging into BOI365 Online ,select 'Online Service Desk' facility and select 'Ask A Question' from the drop down. When you submit your travel plans here, a colleague will reply advising this has been noted for you. Alternatively, you can call BOI365 and a colleague will be happy to update this for you over the phone.

    Contact details- 0818 365 365 / 00353 140 440000

    Mon-Fri 8 am - 12 midnight
    Sat,Sun & Bank Holidays 9 am- 6 pm

Also to mention, when using your card for a currency other than Euro, cross border fees will apply and more information on page 11 here.

We hope the information helps. If you have any further questions please feel to contact us here again.

    Thanks
    Alison
