Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Despite a decent start, Defoe has been such an underwhelming signing.

3rd year in a row Newcastle will keep Sunderland up. Most likely with themselves going down.

That's the bit of quality I was on about. You always have a chance with Defoe in your side

Newcastle wanted to kick off early while the Sunderland players were in a pile celebrating, half looked like he was going to entertain the idea until PVA noticed and jumped inside the Newcastle half.

    Cracking strike and great timing.

I liked that goal better than the Adam goal yesterday. Stunning strike.

Only one thing for it, we will have to turn to Obertan. Hahahahahahahaha sniff

And the rest. No one gives a fúćk out there. It's actually bizarre to watch.

You have to wonder how Carver or a coaching gig of any kind. Get rid of one rot and decide not to put in place an actual manager.
Ashley is just a poison on the club

If they think they're out of the relegation fight they better ****ing realise the reality soon

Yes, the problem has always been Ashley.

Quite literally Newcastle have kept Sunderland up 3 years running.

And given points to any team that's needed them.

    A marvellous team.

Even if Sunderland win today, and it's a big if, they're still in massive danger and in no way safe.

Don't be silly. Newcastle won't go down. Not this season anyway.

Wow, you're wit knows no bounds. Honestly, I've tried before to have logical debates with you but it's fúcking pointless at this stage.

Your chip against Newcastle fans is a really weird one with your nonsense posts and goading.

Quite pathetic but then again you seem to have a major hard on for all things Pardew so I'll let you get back to your odd man crush.

    Enjoy.

Armstrong coming on? Needs to take Sammy off... Or Cabella who has been utter crap.

You’re the one for me, Sunderland!
You’re the one I really really love,
    And when we play,
    The mags on derby day,
    They run away

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

What is Sammy Ameobi doing there? Hilarious "pass"

    Ayoze... Ah.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

Should have scored there, Ayoze. For a PL footballer, that's a more than decent chance.

That's one of the saddest posts I've seen. Your bitterness is beyond logic. Some Irish keyboard warrior with this much hate for a foreign nothing club team has issues.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,640 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

    I ****ing hate Niall Quinn.

The man has to be one of the worse commentators around

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Well done Sunderland. A team who needed a bit of fight actually found it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,882 ✭✭✭Saipanne

In all seriousness, Newcastle should be safe. But next season will be full of peril unless big changes are made. By big, I mean the fat kind.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,306 ✭✭✭BobbyPropane

    Get the **** in WOOOOOOOO

How utterly predictable. Bravo Newcastle. So much for the passion Carver.

What happened to the performance level we saw in the 2nd half vs Arsenal

I thought Beardsley would have been a decent appointment. But, alas, Ashley...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

Thought we actually played quite well overall. Dominated from the start and eventually created chances in the second half which our inability to do has been such a source of frustration for me over the last couple of seasons.

The big test is Palace next weekend however. We have a tendancy to pull a performance out of the bag against Newcastle and revert to type the next week.

Overall, a very nice win but with Burnley, QPR and Leicester all picking up something at the weekend, the job is nowhere near finished.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

As a neutral, they were two pretty poor games today. But I'm sure everyone at Sunderland AFC won't give a flying kucf about that. They now need to follow that up next weekend against Palace; we'll soften them up for you on monday night!
    ;)

Anyway, a big well done to all you Mackems fans on here; enjoy your easter!
