    See http://www.irts.ie/cgi/showrules.cgi?2m
    Date and Time:
2.1 Easter Monday and a Sunday in August from 14:00 to 16:00 local time (Not UTC).
2.2 Both dates are separate contests.
    3 Sections:
    3.1 a) High power portable
    b) Low power portable – max 10w.
    c) High power fixed.
    d) Low power fixed – max 10w.
    e) FM Only – Single Op. (club call signs may not be used)
    f) SWL – see Section 8 of General Rules
3.2 Whether portable or fixed, entrants must operate from a single location for the duration of the contest.
    4 Modes and Frequencies:
4.1 SSB and FM. A station may be worked on both modes – except in the FM Only section.
4.2 Contacts on repeaters or on S20, S21, S22 or S23 are not valid.
4.3 Only one transmitter may be operated at a time.
    5 Exchange:
5.1 Exchange report, serial number (starting 001 for the first contact) and county e.g. 59001, Wicklow.
6 Special Rules for Counties Contests:
6.1 After any QSO in which you are called by another station, you must QSY to another channel (FM), or by at least 3 kHz (SSB), before soliciting another QSO.
6.2 When you respond to a CQ or QRZ from another station, you then have the right to that frequency for a single additional QSO before QSYing as required by 6.1.
6.3 To summarise – the station calling CQ or QRZ must QSY once a contact has been made. The station answering the CQ or QRZ has the frequency for one more contact.
6.4 At the discretion of the Contest Manager, entries from stations with poor-quality signals (too wide, overdriven, distorted etc.) will not be eligible for any award and will be treated as check logs.

    Anyone licensed can take part
Anyone can submit a log. Probably SWL logs would be appreciated, but would have no official standing.

In Ireland only IRTS members can be official entrants. Any Amateur outside Ireland may be an official entrant without IRTS membership.
