Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

We're looking for a white winter flowering cherry tree for our front garden. Have tried Johnstown - they only have pink winter flowering at the moment. Any suggestions of where we might get one?

The pink one - Prunus 'autumnalis rosea' - is the only one I come across anywhere. Where are you based?

Just so you know, either might be a little big for a front garden, but maybe you have a big front garden?

Also they are prone to bacterial canker, (Loads of them died off about 20 years back.) so be careful!

Thanks, we're in Dundrum. Johnstown had the pink alright.

I would be happy with white or pink and with a bog standard cherry blossom but the other half is insisting on white and winter flowering. The search continues!

I understand, you could try Van der Wel Nursery in Aughrim.
