Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

TV screen is flickering and fuzzy

I don't know if this is the right thread to post this in so feel free mods to put it somewhere more appropriate.

So I have the Sony 52 inch Bravia TV for a long time now, since 2008 I think. Recently in the past couple of weeks when I turn on the tv half the screen is flickering and dark and fuzzy and just not right. This would usually disappear within 15-30 minutes of leaving the telly on, but now it won't ever go and half my TV screen always seems to be flickering and its really annoying.

Is this a common problem and is it easy to fix it? Is it a hardware problem that will need maintenance by professionals? Also I don't have warranty so could it prove to be very expensive. How do I get rid of this!!!

There's a website called badcaps that will be able to help you with this if you give them full details and pictures of the TV. . This is their TV repair forum..

Is it occurring on multiple inputs, eg when you watch TV, a DVD, use a games console or just specific to one of them?

I tried a dvd before and it is still the same.

Yes unlikely to be a lose cable then. Not sure what your next option is.

It seems to be a hardware problem according to my search online. Whats even worse is that the TV is on the wall in my living room so it will even have to come off if I decide to get it repaired.
