One thing I am looking forward to is going back and doing it again as a run-and-gun because it genuinely feels like I'm playing only half the game (which is good, choices are meaningful and I chose to play in a stealth-n-hack way this time).
What I mean by that is that I have hardly crafted a thing, one multitool I think, before I could open level 5 stuff. Since getting hacking up I haven't needed to do that again.

My health is untouched so why would I need heals? (I haven't even upped my health from the starting amount... why would I?).... The energy system is a bit crap with my energy mysteriously dropping back to 1 small chunk very soon after topping it up (and yes, I know its supposed to do that if I use the energy, but I'm not talking about that, I'm saying that after cutscenes or big zones it seems to have reset).

So crafting has pretty much not be a thing for me and I have 600+ crafting parts while only just returning from Golem city.

I haven't bought anything either. I was saving up for a praxis point but I don't really need that now, I have plenty of them since I don't have to spend on any of the shooter stuff (I'm stock full of most ammo and have all the weapons... got them almost immediately!). I have 15,000 now so currency is kinda pointless this way... if I was shooting my way through I'm sure I would need to buy ammo.

Most of the game for me now is trying to avoid ways of having to kill people so I'm looking forward to going back and becoming a one man wrecking machine.

Btw, everyone (I mean *everyone*) in Palisade bank is asleep on the job now... man, I wouldn't use that bank if you paid me. Disgraceful. :)

In the same boat. No need for crafting, no need for money, no need for any pain relief or alcohol, no need for ammo.....I still make sure I pick up every single item in every single room though because I'm Adam "Klepto" Jensen.

My inventory is full of stuff I haven't used but I'm keeping some grenades, mines and EMP ammo/weapons in case I need them later but that's not sounding too likely. I keep using crafting parts to kit out my weapons though as I can't pick any more up without dropping some precious items that I'll never use....what if I need those 50 cans of beer later?

I'm a tea-total aug because I just cant afford the space (and I'm playing No Mans Sky at the moment too where everyone is whinging about the space in the inventory which I don't find constrictive at all any more... internetz eh?). In DX I am always topped out but mostly because I'm like you, a walking arsenal of things I'll never use :)

But yeah, I think it will be therapeutic to walk into the same location I have snuck and crawled around and just unload on them "Hey, remember me... well, DADDYS HOME!!!"

Even doing a second stealth run you would probably fine alternative stealth routes as well.

My first play through I didn't upgrade health at all or use multi tools.

Playing a combat heavy second run, I don't need much money for ammo, maybe just for the more expensive and rare armor piercing ammo. More for weapons upgrades like scopes, silences and laser sites. The prixas kits the first merchant sells are the most expensive thing to by, costing a total of 20,000 credits for the two. But they probably are the thing worth buying most. After that since I'm low on hacking skill and explosives are rare, multi tools are important so I spend a bit on crafting parts.

Palisade bank security to lax eh? Well if a augmented agent like Jensen tried to break into boards.ie HQ (which is no doubt a subsidiary of the Illuminati) how would security hold up? Have you checked your ventilation shafts lately....seen any pocket secretaries lying around or any staff lying unconscious in funny poses?

Can't comment on PS4 but works fine on Xbox, I'd imagine they would share bugs like that

Don't press them at the same time as in one action, press and hold X or square in your case quickly followed by L2 , so a 2 step press instead of one.

It can be a bit off at times on my PS4 had to reload twice because of it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,371 ✭✭✭✭Zillah

    Finished it.

    So
A: Story feels like it stopped about 60% of the way through. Like, the last mission was just a normal mission, and they're all "ok you're done now".
B: The credits are unskippable lol, unbelievable. You have to kill the process to escape on PC. Also for anyone who cares, apparently the end-game achievement is locked behind the credits so you actually have to wait fifteen minutes.
C: Mid-credits cutscene was just a bit silly.
D: I had to choose between doing A or B,
but I was able to do both anyway
    ?

Overall it was fun. Mechanics like wall climbing and vents are a good improvement, love some of the new augs. Story was total pants though. Human Revolution was a much better game.

Also I only got one chance to use the social augmentation 'boss battle' thing? Once with
    Rucker
, and I believe I would have had a chance with
Otar if I hadn't been in a fire fight with his men
. Is that it? Weren't there four or five of those in HR?

So far I'm feeling like it's a case of be careful what you wish for in terms of there not being bosses like HR. Think htey could have been there and handled like they were in something like Dishonoured where you still had a 'not by your hand' way around killing them.

I really didn't mind the bosses in HR, but recall a fair amount of whinging about them at the time. At least they gave you a break and reason to take oyur the guns and use some of your augs in a stealth run. I've not used any active augs yet and I'm about 80% through. Oh besides the vision.

Have to say I'm absolutely loving this game. It really is the type of game you need to take your time with, soak everything in, read through emails to get more backstory etc. Nearly the type of game you could play while having a cup of tea in one hand.

I am just wondering % wise how far am I into the game? I am just after
Leaving Golem City where Rucker collapsed from some poison or something

I noticed I didn't pick up any side missions the last while either. Think I only have up to SM05 done.

There was also one with the bomb maker (Allison), one if I remember rightly with the girl in the Neon lab, and fully upgraded CASIE gave a few mid dialogue options in a number of conversations

    Went for the
    bank
    instead.
one if I remember rightly with the
    girl in the Neon lab

Didn't have it at that point, told
her to cooperate or I'd shoot her. She said no so I shot her and did it myself. Filthy drug pusher. I executed everyone in that lab
...a bloody blip in an otherwise largely bloodless playthrough.
and fully upgraded CASIE gave a few mid dialogue options in a number of conversations

I remember two, one of which didn't seem to achieve anything at all.

Couldn't get into it at all, found it really boring compared to human revolution. Gamestop have me a choice of 50 euro credit or 50 cash for it. Not bad as i only paid 43 for it. I think the 50 cash offer is ending today.

Tempting seeing as recore is out this week and Square titles have a track record for going Games with Gold on Xbox.

Game is awesome, just fapping about with side missions in Prague.

Enjoying it so far but aug vision uses the battery way to fast and the minimum battery is too slow to recharge imo.
    This game is awesome .

Made an arse of The Harvester side mission.

Went back to the copper before I found compelling evidence, anyone else fcuk it up and still manage to complete it?

It's so badly designed in that sense. I followed a walkthrough because it was not made clear at all how it should go. I think so long as you
    exhonerate the husband
you should be able to do the final stage which pops up later, from what I remember reading.

What's the story with DLC and so on for this? Got fked over with the last one and its Director's Cut nonsense that meant I ended up owning 2 copies of the game on Steam because of duplicate products with different contents (I can't even remember the specifics, but it concerned the Missing Link DLC) and so I'm damned if I'm going to give these fakers any more of my money than I have to.

Basically, how long will I have to wait till I can get all of the content in one bundle (and most likely in a Steam Sale)? Previous experiences suggest 12 months, does that sound reasonable?

Story DLC is announced already and will be out at the end of the month. It's not part of the season pass and I've no idea how big it will be.

The Directors Cut of the last game was mainly a patch that let you go non lethal on the bosses due to fan feed back. They just upped the visuals slightly and threw in the DLC too.

The theory and speculation has been Square demanded the game be made smaller and chopped up for a trilogy.

Jim mentions it briefly in his most recent video on it. Also talks more about the microtransactions, which is even more shocking :D

    Thank god for Jim :D

So far I'm having a blast with this game. I'm doing a stealth non lethal approach but I think I killed a few guys during a side mission so no achievement for me. The missions and mission spaces are amazing and the sights and sounds of Prague are fantastic.
Now im afraid its just going to end and pull a halo 2 :(

Knocked out three guards and then found one of those breaker switches. Turned it on wondering what it would do and accidentally electrocuted the fellas I knocked out. Oh well.

Previous save was back a bit and to be honest, Im enjoying the game so much Il probably replay it for non lethal run at some stage.

I did EXACTLY the same thing... quite annoying but funny too after I had been so careful in knocking all three out (and that bit was hard!). laaalala, whats this breaker thing do *flip* ... *ZAP!*... aaaah sh*te! >.<
Thankfully I had a save just before entering that room and went back. In my annoyance I just tossed a gas grenade in, first time I had used one cos I only just got the lungs aug and its surprisingly effective, doesn't trigger them and you can walk around just whacking them at your leisure. Very handy!

I've had a few people recognise me through walls or hear a shot from miles away through a closed door. I had one civilian panic and alert everyone because I walked out of a restricted area into an unrestricted area but when I went into cover and snuck around the corner and then stood up, he was like "yeah whatever!"... sometimes its hard to tell what will spook NPC's and what wont.
