he says he is not stuck for money or space so it kinda begs the question why is he getting rid?

There could be a million reasons to be fair! I've often sold cars out of pure boredom

(and I always end up regretting it :o)

    Where do I even start...

I sold an utterly mint 1989 Suzuki Alto with less than 10k miles on the clock, 1 south Dublin owner, full history from the same garage with 25 years annually, taxed, tested and one of the best looked after cars I have ever come across....for €250 on the verge of needing a clutch, in, I think, 2014. I was only being lazy and didn't want to put a disc into it, would have taken me an hour!! Advertised it 10am on a Friday morning and it was gone before dinner.

    1989 Lancia Y10, original Irish car, solid...€300

    69 Wolseley 1300, solid, €1k

    82 Fiesta Mk1, 1 owner, €300

    85 CX GTI, €700

    I could go on :(

Never needed to sell any of them! All in the last five or so years

Would you believe I gave an 02 diesel Mondeo estate for it in the first place..with 250k miles on it! It was a pretty rough example but it was my first old car, so I didn’t know much about it or it’s value, I sold it too cheap I think.

I have photos on an old Flickr account somewhere, I’ll dig them out

Had two MkIII Supra's sitting in the garden for a few years. They were both running and driving but in need of attention. My mother paid someone €200 to take them away while I was working abroad!

I had one of those as well, but I got pretty decent money for that given it was on UK plates with a few years until classic status!

They have quite possibly the nicest, most comfy seats in any car ever. Mine had blue velour, they were fantastic

Dont you just love your family:D

My Aunt paid a scrapper to take away a 1954 beetle that I had cleared all around all the garden debris to get access to take it away myself.

When i got back after a couple of weeks to collect it, it was gone:eek::eek::eek:

Front bumper looks a bit chunky compared to rear, and the seats maybe? What else?

Dash, seats, front, rear, colour, wheels......all belong to a 1983 Renault 5 GTL......

The seller not knowing what engine is in the thing isn't confidence inspiring either TBH :)

Seriously, for a shade under €2k someone could have a grand old time tootling about the Irish countryside in that

Looks great in this photo too

    Gone.
It was almost too good to be true if it was as nice as it looked.
