    Heifer second from the left at the trough is a lovely square one. There's also one bull with quare timer under him for a bucket fed lad!

    Wonder what crazy prices he paid for them in Spring though :pac:

    On the right side of the last picture is a grand square heifer. Hard to judge her size. I always reckon you should look at the week cattle in a bunch rater than the good ones.

    Good price for them even though they're about 100 kg back from where they should. Numbers are tight. Good trade this week at all marts I'm hearing. Only lads talking down prices now are factories and lads that have killed and are looking to restock.

    The stores were up this week if anything... A lot of South East sellers were making hay and doing corn and that.

    27mts old should be a lot more. At 350 kg they have only done 12kg a month since birth. Sould be twice that with average feeding.

    Bought at 14 months at 345 kgs LW, he was a bull. He was on the farm for about 15 with his weight with fees and transport paid. If you had 10 like him ever year you be very :D He killed O-3+. there was a bit left in him still

    Plain animal can leave as much as the best. Were you only one bidding on him? Seen a yearling frx 380kg hardly get a bid last week. ignorance is twice as dangerous as knowledge.

    Remember it was last year early summer bulls were not the flavour of the month. Bought a good Fr bull same day 390kgs for 450 and another a few week later 450 for 500. Not sure was it I or the dealers opened them but I ended up with them. God I never knew plain animals left as much as the best at times. I just taught I was buying them as they were on euro saver menu.:rolleyes:

    Smartarse!! If I had enough ground and wasn't relying on quickish turnaround with young stock id be buying the same and holding to 36mts.

    He looks a straight enough fella. You want to be a good judge of cattle before youd go buying jex though as they can be a mixed bag.
