    Anybody using pedal extenders?
Considering getting some to deal with knock knees. When my knees are directly below my hips my stance is wider than my bikes q factor and i've been getting pain above my knee on the inside of both legs, and am thinking that the hip/knee plumb line should be more important than trying to line up hip/knee/ankle when, skeletally that's not gonna work for me unfortunately.
Also, anyone know where to pick them up cheap?
Seems most place charging 40 quid for a pair

Hmm. Only $16 on amazon.com, as opposed to nearly £40 on amazon.co.uk - seems there's a Rip-Off Kingdom next door to our beloved Rip-Off Republic

Are these the same kind of thing?

Try searching for "Verlängerung der Pedalachse"

Yeah thanks Qualitymark. It's the first ones you posted. Found specialized ones which look a bit better and they're chrome too, in the uk, evans and James cycles too. If they work on the winter bike might get longer speedplay spindles for the other bike as it says they shouldn't be used with carbon cranks. Any truth in this ya reckon? Or just a disclaimer for those with legs like Greipel.

Being somewhat broad across the beams myself I've always found the narrow stance or q-factor on a road bike uncomfortable. Did lots of mountain biking in my twenties, and always felt more powerful and connected to my bike with the wider stance of a triple MTB chainset. I eventually ended up using a touring bike triple chainset on my road bike with the granny ring removed..

Nowadays we are spoiled for choice if one needs to run a wider stance.

Speedplay pedal spindles come in a several lengths 1/8" 1/4" and 1/2" longer than standard..

Shimano make their excellent dura ace 9000 pedal with optional 4mm longer than standard spindles.

Ward industries in the states manufacture longer titanium spindles for look keo, bebob, and crank brothers pedals..

Kewin pedals are also available with a longer spindles.

issi pedals are also available with several different spindle options, if a walkable MTB type system is required..
