A reddit user has leaked Warner Bros upcoming toy-to-life video game ‘LEGO Dimensions’. A picture was posted of the alleged starter kit which is set to feature the game, a LEGO toy pad, bricks to make a LEGO gateway, a LEGO Batmobile as well as Batman, Gandalf and Wyldstyle.

    ...

Warnerbros have been teasing something large this week as a variety of images were posted on social media showcasing The Lord of the Rings, Lego Movie, Back to the Future trilogy & DC Comics.

Further to this, Toys R’ US listings have revealed that the game will be coming to PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Wii U.

It was bound to happen. LEGO have their fingers in so many franchise pies at this stage that they could feasibly take on Skylanders and Disney Infinity figures.

Meanwhile Polygon are cyber squatting on the domain - pretty skeevy stuff. Michael McWhertor of Polygon uses information gleaned in his work there to find out ahead of announcement that there's going to be a new game called Lego Dimensions. He then registers the URL www.legodimensions.com and uses it to redirect to his websites story on the game's announcement.

Edit - looks like they've redirected it to Lego.com after a big outcry.

It was registered today despite this story from last month. More Hanlon's razor on behalf of everyone involved than anything underhanded I imagine.
