Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

We're a group of 8 looking for green free golf in Meath/Kildare area on Sunday 28th June. The problem is it must be in the AM as some of the group need to catch a flight from Dublin. Proving difficult as most courses would reserve this time for members.

Anyone know of any courses that we might be able to get out at?

I would look at any of the 36 holes places as members will generally only have 1 course for competition.

    Maybe headfort or carton?

    Regards
    Kev

Killeen Castle have all members comps on Saturdays and Sundays are normally open. Give them a call soon, if you're interested, as I know that group bookings have been very popular his year.

Luttrellstown mightn't be a bad idea. Not in Meath/Kildare obviously but it's close enough and will be handy for the group that's travelling to the airport.

Very nice course, very few members so it's easy enough to get a weekend tee time. Plenty of tee times for Sunday morning June 28th are available at present on golfnow.ie. €45 a round.

Corrstown is 10 minutes from the airport and as 27 holes, so you can start on the spare 9 of the day and work you're way around to the front 9 to get a full 18 holes. They rotate the 27 holes each day to make up the main 18 holes for comps.

Contact Michelle in the office at +353 (1) 864 0533 and she'll sort out a decent rate for you and can also include food if required. They have great deals on Golf/Food for groups.

Other option in the area is Carton House (36 Holes), Black Bush(27 holes) and Hollystown (27 holes). Carton & Black Bush are about 3o minutes from airport, Hollystown about 15.

You can find rates in the link below:

Is Sunday morning not members time in Corrstown?

Rathcore would be a good option, its right on the border of Meath and Kildare (near enfield) and it is a smashing course, very underrated. Ive played it a good few Sundays and booked it through either golfnow or teetimes for reasonable rates and always thoroughly enjoyed my round.

Yes, on the main 18 of the day till about 2:30, but the spare 9 is open to society and green fees and also members. They rotate the 3 9's each day so you could still end up playing the main 18 on any given day.

I think we are one of the few clubs that can accommodate Societies at weekends from about 12pm onwards in the north Dublin area. Don't swear me to that, but most weekends we have 2 to 4 societies out playing the course and not having any impact on the members. It's great for club revenue.

I'm sure if it's on 8 people he could easily get a slot around 12 or play the same 9 twice from 7 am onwards if required.
