A poor young girl ,a child was raped in Balbriggan last night.if anyone can post the link will you.
Garda are appealing for info.

Awful news to hear happen on your doorstep. Prayers to the girl and family. Really has angered me, will refrain from mentioning what I'd like to happen to the perpetrator as probably not appropriate time or place.

Friends of autism and ADHD are acting as a collection point for donations .
Just throw it in an envelope marked with kelly s on it.the manager kelly will give it to the community Garda to pass on.hopefully it will go towards something good for this child.
You can give to any of the shops and it will be given to kelly.
I am sick .as a am of a 12 year old I just can't understand the world .

I'm sure the charity's heart is in the right place, and maybe it's just me, but it seems like an odd thing to have a charity collection for a girl who's been raped.

There's always one. Wouldn't you assume the child is going to need a lot of help and support over the next while, is it possible her parents might need to take some unpaid leave from work to take care of her, would you not think she might deserve a holiday away from the area? All those come at a cost, the collection will hopefully ease things.

Shouldn't we try to ascertain all the facts first before organising collections and/or hangings?

The idea behind the collection is just that, the child will need support, psychological, emotional.Counselling, and so could her family.
A lot of people said ' jesus its terrible ' and wanted to do SOMETHING.
This really is all we can do.The chairty manager will pass the money onto the Garda.
If this child needs help then at least there will be some funding to help.
And as a community, if thats all we can do, then thats all we can do.

No one is been asked to give anything, if you wanted a card, a letter of support.
