Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

BB insert loose

    Good day,

Quick question to knowledgeable people here.

I have a carbon bike, when cycling I've noticed a play in the BB and decided to replace bearings, that are BB41 or PF41 to be precise. When I removed the crank and bearings I've noticed that it wasn't the problem with bearings themselves (even though they were also shot), but rather a metal tube insert that made itself loose in the frame. I can rotate it slightly and move up and down, side to side by few mm, but I can't remove it.

The gap is too small to put any epoxy resin, the only thing I could do is probably put some liquid glue, but before I try any of this, I appreciate any advise.

It's an MTB 2012/13 Lappiere Pro Race 700. I love the bike to bits, do not want the insert to get worse. It gets a lot of abuse however.

On the same note, is it normal to have no drain hole in the BB? Thinking of drilling one as there was some water in the BB.

    Many thanks in advance!
