Yes, the Nigerian had a shop in Shandon Street in Cork, and he got quite upset that Joe wanted to cut him off to cover the 9/11 story.
It really is one of those "where were you when you heard ......." stories. Its just such a pity that Duffy is included in my initial memory of 9/11.

Been in car last hour n this is really boiling my piss. I could take a swing at troll duffy now. His playing off misery and tragedy has hit rock bottom today with this. These 5 kids are barely dead and their families may not even know yet but hes doing everything to cause anguish and upset to every family with a kid in the states now

All this bollocks about the high standard of building construction gives me pause for thought. The US is a country that put men on the moon, yet at the same time, and subsequently, was buidling wooden houses with aluminium wiring which caused thousands of devastating fires. California building codes are pretty high nowadays, but if those balcony supports are what they appear to be, I seriously doubt there was much material testing or checking done during construction - wood, while a marvellous building material, has some serious shortcomings, especially when the contractor and/or his employees are in a rush/bonus and don't give much of a feck about rejecting beams that are suspect.
