My white Arabian Khaleesi got killed by a train while I was fishing for a legendary fish off a bridge, I panicked and quit the game straight away, went back in and she was there, I would have been in genuinely bad form if I lost her, a digital f*cking horse, I think I need to go outside...

just saw a youtube video titled "Things you need to know before buying a Siberian Husky" I thought "I didn't know you could do that in RDR2" but it was talking about real life. The edges blur some more.

I didn't redeem my freebie in Annesburg for a new gun as they didn't have anything worth buying and anything good was locked.

I haven't been up there in ages, I wonder will the freebie still be there for me.

You can customise your gun instead, turn it silver/gold

Must head down there for one.

Looking for a badger right now, going all around the area the maps show that has them but no sign.

Search at night, they're nocturnal. Yeah, Rockstar had to be arseholes and make it that realistic.

Do you need to kill the legendary animals cleanly or can I pump shot gun them away?

Don't think it matters. You could blow them up with Dynamite and you would still get the pelt, haven't tested that theory though. Once its killed and skinned the pelt and bits go to the trapper anyway, Iv'e lost stuff and still get the unlocks. Just realised you only need 5 Legendaries for 100%.

Also buying Premium Cigs off shops give the Cig Cards. Limited to 5 per shop.

Fired up Red Dead last night with the intention of getting some missions under my belt, try to advance the story abit. Was heading back towards Valentine or Emerald Ranch when I happened on the Pig Farm. Amazing! It just keeps throwing up little gems like that. Incredible to think it's just a totally missable side quest. The 100 hour weeks paid off!

Does anyone else think there's too many random events while travelling?

Sometimes there can be alright but it distracts from the long journeys!

I like and hate St. Denis equally.

Ran towards my horse and pressed triangle but I ended up rugby tackling a civilian.
As always, all hell breaks loose. The cops seem to shoot straight away. I thought you could give yourself up, it was only a 10 dollar bounty for assault.

Yeah, that whole thing gets really old fast.
I did a mission recently where you collect debts. Knocked the guy out and looted his body for the money. Then a passer by shouts "Robbery!" and I get a bounty. Arthur says "No Im collecting a debt, Im not stealing" but it doesn't matter.

I know they've made a concerted effort to make this world less video gamey, in this case to halt our instincts to just mow down people without a care in the world, ala GTA, but it's seems abit over kill to me. You'd be afraid just riding your horse down the street!

I was in Saint Dennis earlier and got separated from my horse. Kept whistling for him but he wasn't budging for some reason. Eventually ran back to see where he got himself and this is where I found him.

End of chapter 4/start of 5 spoiler **dont read if you haven't started chapter 5!**
Holy **** what a gut punch, epic to the last though. Kieran's death was brilliantly done, Hosea and Lenny took me by complete surprise. Just resting at camp in Guara now, incredible change of scenery! Game of the decade for me :)

Didn't feel bad for Kieran in the slightest, no doubt O'Driscolls kidnapped him and then he ratted out the gang. Just like he did to them. Was kinda annoyed Dutch or Arthur didn't make that connection.

Do you know what's fun, Lemoyne Raiders ambushing you with a wagon equipped with a machine gun.

I don’t think so, maybe I’m wrong but it seemed like a glitch. There was no way to actually get there I had to climb out and scale the roof to get to it.

I headed up north of St Dennis up to the hillbilly area. I mainly wanted to uncover some of the unrevealed areas of the map but it’s well worth heading up. There’s a lot of interesting and funny stuff up there.

Came across a corpse hanging from a tree up north in the middle of the road , so I shot the rope and hopped off Roach to investigate, queue
an ambush by those hill-billy ****ers

Ah I was just messing :)

Next mission has me going to San Dennee (I refuse to call it Saint Dennis like common folk). Looking forward to seeing what all the fuss is about.

    Late chapter 3 spoiler

I spent $50 on a 'How to Get Rich Quick' book from a street seller in Saint Denis. I'm an eejit.

That happened to me today. I just thought it was a typical ambush so i wasn't really paying attention to the wagon, then I saw it but it was too late :D

    Does anybody know if
there's a way to go back to Guarma? I really loved that bit.

Hope Rockstar do a DLC of Cowboys and Pirates on Guarma, how amazing that would be.......can only dream of playing a Rockstar take on AC Black Flag.

    You should spoiler that

Not sure if I'm alone in this......having been an obsessive Red Dead Redemption player since the original 2010 game..... I always felt it was a niche market to begin with.......then completely overshadowed by GTA5

It seems this time around though.....Red Dead Redemption 2 has a massive new base.......unlike the original RDR which was s niche market and had s small market....

RDR2 seems to be huge .....with even non-gamers taking an interest in it.......RDR2 may even take the mantle from GTA5

What I'm particularly hoping is that this game leads to a revival in Hollywood and mainstream TV for the Wild West

I loved the Deadwood series back in 2004-2006 ....but I feel it never got the applause it deserved

Hopefully Red Dead Redemption 2 and it's popularity will see something which we have not seen since the early 1970s....

...aka. A revival of the Western

Would be great to see a revival of the likes of TV shows as Rawhide and Bonanza ....not to mention the Clint Eastwood style spaghetti westerns

I haven't been to the Cinema in years......but if a new Red Dead Redemption movie starring a badass Clint Eastwood type comes along.....then sign me up

Red Dead Redemption and Spaghetti Westerns are like bread and butter

I really do hope that Red Dead Redemption 2 reinvigorates the Wild West across TV.....

With such tepid movies for so long....... hopefully Red Dead Redemption 2 brings back the likes of THIS
