I'm just after crafting stuff and now my horse is missing but it shows him right beside me on the map. Theres an arrow flashing indicating it's below me?

How do I save game? I found a treasure map turned the game off then when I switched it back on it saying no map discovered. I thought it auto saved!

pause the game (options button on PS) , go to game and there's an option to save game. It does auto save but only at the most inopportune time.

When you skin a perfect animal where do I take the hide on my horse to use later for crafting stuff? Donate to Pearson? Only started hunting some perfect ones, its relaxing/brutal

So, St Denis is a **** hole, disappointed. Bumped into a guy straight away right beside a copper. I tried to surrender straight away so picked defuse. He told me to get my hands up, no options available so they opened fire. Crock of ****.

Edit: so I still have a bounty and half the icons are locked because of it. Some balls.

Caught my first legendary fish. I don't think my right analog stick, or my thumb, would survive 12 more of those battles so I'm gonna leave that.

There should be a better reel in the game. Instead of that **** gear ratio on the current.

I got pissed off at it, started using dynamite. Excellent results but you cant pick up any unless its near the shore.

*Fish are not in great condition also

Man this game sucks you in,really dont notice the time flying by.

Still running missions out of the first camp so not that far in but after what i felt was a slow start ive really started to enjoy it.

Saint Dennis is a real pain. Anytime I’m in there I get a bounty for either bumping into somebody or defending myself. And there’s always multiple witnesses and police everywhere. I usually have to leave the area and sneak back in to pay it off.

Also, anybody else notice the game can start getting really choppy and start dropping a lot of frames in that area. I’m on the One S and it seems to happen a good bit while I’m in the area.

Yeah it can be really poor in that area but considering how much is going on it does well other times. The tram is probably the worst resource hog. Had an issue when the autosave was initialised after a mission crazy frame rate lag. Just loaded the autosave again and it was fine.

Same, horse almost died in an instant and only saved by having dead eye full as I'd lost life and would have died if I fought them straight.

After playing with the gun, I noticed it does have a very limited field of fire on the wagon so you could get out of it's way if you're quick.

You can bring it to Pearson for your satchel and camp improvements or you can take it to a trapper to get stylish new clothes.

Well I finished Chapter 4 and I certainly did not expect Chapter 5 to go the way it's been going...

Should have done that whole island as the chapter 1 and slowly introduce the other characters as you progress in chapters. Would have been better than the Tinkerton's constantly ruining your hideout. I hope that if its released for PC there will be mods that allow you to do an alternate start.

I have a theory that profanity has been banned in the game because of the time period. A poster on another forum told me that he tried to name his horse "Little B*tch" but couldn't because of the use of profanity. I did some reading on that time period and words like crap, sh*t, damn, and b*tch were considered to be very foul language. So I wonder if profanity isn't used in the game because it might have been outlawed during that time period. Now I might be completely wrong but if that is true, then Rockstar are geniuses for coming up with little details like that.

Or it's a profanity filter in place for Red Dead Online.

Guys can anyone tell me if I just do story missions now till the end will stranger missions disappear then I won’t be able to do them anymore? Or can I do them after the story is finished and not miss any?

I’m on chapter 4 but I wanna start just plowing through the story this weekend

Not sure but I think it depends on what the Stranger Missions are. Ones where you just have to collect things or go to certain people are likely fine until after the main story. But there are a few which tie in to the main story (but aren't integral enough to be part of the main story and won't affect anything if you miss them) will likely be gone.

My advice would be to just do them if you come across them in your path anyway, as they're more likely to be ones tied to the story and more likely to occur near places you'll be getting or finishing up main story missions. And check them on the Index on the map to see who the mission is from if possible.

I'd like to know myself.

Also, for anyone having trouble getting the 3 throwing knife kills in 10 second, I got it by accident by equipping my throwing knife and melee stabbing rats with it (St Denis side quest of clearing out rats).

My problem is I’m in saint denis atm and there’s some stranger missions in the starting town of the game I don’t wanna horse all the way back up there to do that stranger then go back to saint denis for the story again.
I keep forgetting about fast travel but I haven’t used it once so far lol game is just too damm good looking

Don't forget about the stagecoaches - they really are the fastest way to get around (once you have the money to pay the fares), and your horse will be waiting at the destination once you get there.
