You need to keep playing until you unlock the fence. Then do some treasure hunting. The Jack Hall gang treasure hunt is good or if you preordered you can do the les tressor des morts one. There are also the poisonous trail and high stakes treasure maps but I haven’t done those yet. All the info and tips are up on youtube.

Thanks for the hunting tips folks. The normal arrow to the neck on the deer works a great.

Not sure if any of you are big into western films like me, feck I watched some awful ones and still enjoyed em.

Anywho alot of the locations in game are from a few films rio bravo etc...🀣😂

Yep there are, bronze silver and gold. Objectives have things like completing in a set time or taking no damage etc

    You need 70 gold for a trophy/Achievement.

Aaahhhh I noticed some missions finished as a bronze and silver symbol, thought that just meant they were side missions or something. Must look at the ones I've done.

I took a covered wagon with me on a bounty hunt, hoping that I could put the outlaw I captured into the back of the wagon. Cannot be done.

Hopefully getting gold is like in GTAV were you could replay it and not have to meet all the requirements in one go.

I've only been playing an hour and a half or so but already noticed a musical reference to Once Upon a Time in the West

Jasus lads it's impossible to find and hunt 3 perfect rabbit pelts for the master hunter challenge. When I actually go looking specifically for rabbits I can't find any, and the odd one I do is 1 or 2 star.

It's a real struggle early on because the amounts you get are so low. Just keep pushing on with missions when you have them and loot everyone, even on shoot outs in the wild. Some stuff like pocket watches can get $25 a piece.

Where do you sell pocket watches? I have like 5-6 but none of the shops in Valentine seem to take them.

Go to the index on the map and go to fence

    Emerald Ranch, but only if
you’ve stolen the stagecoach for Seamus. It’ll unlock him as a fence and he’ll buy stuff that’s hard to get rid of. He also has an excellent selection of things for sale.

Don’t read that if you have yet to do any missions involving Emerald Ranch btw.

I spent an embarrassing amount of time earlier trying to find a bear. No joy. Are they meant to be pretty hard to find or am I just crap at this game?

Fence if you want cash yourself or donate them to camp to increase funds.

Kind of trying to avoid this thread as much as possible but just a question regarding playing as a bad guy v's a good guy.

Ive only really started and have just left the camp for the first time. Id really like to play as an A hole but will it cause me to miss out on many opportunities.
Ive read that by helping others they can return to help me further down the line. Id like to avoid being as neighbourly as possible and to be a feared outlaw. Is it possible to play this way and have as full an experience with the game?

I was attacking a bandit camp and one came roaring out of the woods and ate one of the bandits.
Trying to catch wild horses is tough, I lassoed one, got off my horse and then got dragged screaming through the bushes.
The deadliest thing in the Wild West is the trees.

How do I brush my horse? Every time I try to bring up the option to I can't as it won't let me select it. Do I have to advance the story or something? I realise I could just ride through a river but there's not always one handy

You need a brush. If you wait you'll eventually get one for free. Or you could probably just buy one.

Would be great if they had a button you could keep tapping like cleaning the gun to make it go faster

Encountered a crazy bug on Xbox last night, left trigger wouldn't work, couldn't select any options or talk to people. Changed the controller layout to alternate which swaps left trigger and left bumper and all working fine again, except now shooting was all messed up. Ended up having to change the controller layout back and forth when I needed to talk to someone .

In case anyone gets it, it's elite controller related, using a normal controller avoids the issue from what I've read. Drove me nuts last night so figured I'd save other the hassle

Came across something similar, changed to standard FPS and hold to run earlier in the day yesterday but that didn't work until the cut scene happened later on in the night. Pressing A was putting me into sneak.

    If you
hold RB and talk to a horse first it will trust you.

If you preordered you can get the war horse for free,
you get a free brush when you purchase your first horse
or if you walk into a stable you can buy one

Ended up in St. Denis through doing a mission and tried to rob the gunsmith. Didn't go too well, eventually died due to too many lawmen and regained consciousness to a $300 bounty.

Then tried to take on the gang of bounty hunters chasing me. That also ended quite badly and rather quickly I must say. Got 1 shot off before I crumpled to the ground.

    A+ experiences

Bit of a dummy question here since I usually use PC with an XBox controller but am playing this on the girlfriend's PS4 and have only got a few hours in so far, but when you gain/upgrade/etc something it always says "press [button] for info"... except the buttons shown on screen look exactly like a mouse, with one button black and the other that I assume you're supposed to press in white?

I've tried seemingly every button including the large one in the middle of the controller and the two that typically go under select/start, can anyone let me know what blatantly obvious button I am missing please? :o

I have 300 dollar bounties in two states and don't have the money to pay them off. Gets a bit tiresome being killed by bounty hunters every time I go anywhere!
