Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's just when he acts like he couldn't give a f*ck it annoys me.

But if its outside his hands then maybe why should he care if its not his fault

He runs Bellator. Bellator is owned by Viacom. He's just an an employee. I'm sure if he had the choice it would be available live world wide on ViaComs main channels.

Lol, Rory sponsored by Dash cryptocurrency

    Come on Rory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,536 ✭✭✭EagererBeaver

Always takes some getting used to just how big Lima is. Monster of a WW.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,563 ✭✭✭The White Feather

Strange stand up at the end of that round. I thought Rory was working

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,536 ✭✭✭EagererBeaver

Tough to score that one. Rory got him down but if anything lost the ground battle. Couldn't get anything meaningful going in his guard

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,683 ✭✭✭Subcomandante Marcos

I think Rory edged the first barely based solely on being able to control where it took place. Stinker of a round though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,536 ✭✭✭EagererBeaver

This is turning into a dud pretty quickly.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,563 ✭✭✭The White Feather

Yes it seems like Rory wants to wear Lima down against the cage rather than do anything else

Rory really embracing the grind here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,536 ✭✭✭EagererBeaver

**** that was a leg kick from hell. Sensible to keep chopping it on the ground after he went down.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,683 ✭✭✭Subcomandante Marcos

Probably give that one to Lima?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,536 ✭✭✭EagererBeaver

I would, yeah. Looks like Rory might be ****ed here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,563 ✭✭✭The White Feather

    Jeez that leg

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,536 ✭✭✭EagererBeaver

Jesus Christ that shin after the leg kicks!

Lima is a monster. The fact that he's this good against Rory shows just how good Ben Askren is, Lima was dominated by Ben.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,536 ✭✭✭EagererBeaver

Rory exhausted. That last one was a panic shoot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,563 ✭✭✭The White Feather

    Rory showing great heart here

I don't think it's being exhausted, I just don't think his leg can take another shot.

    2-2?

Fair play to him there, dunno how Lima managed to finish that round on the bottom. Could still be tight on the cards.

Yeah, Askren needs to stop with his fake retirement schtick and sign for one of the two.

Lima's Corner should be like this

I think 29-28 Rory, giving him 1,2 and 5, and 3 and 4 to Lima.

Really though, 1,2 and 4 could easily be scored the other way.

    Poor enough fare.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,563 ✭✭✭The White Feather

Rory is a F**king warrior to pull that win out!!

Delighted for him but the fight was poor overall

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,683 ✭✭✭Subcomandante Marcos

    48-47 Rory in my book.

Not the prettiest fight but very interesting.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,536 ✭✭✭EagererBeaver

    Yeah, 48-47, not 29-28. It's late/early.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,683 ✭✭✭Subcomandante Marcos

Those judges were all over the gaff. Right decision but the scores weren't accurate.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,536 ✭✭✭EagererBeaver

Jesus, a 49-46 in there, dunno about that one.

Fair play Rory, grinding it out was the only option there. Lima is insanely big for a welterweight.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,683 ✭✭✭Subcomandante Marcos

Lima is one of the top 5 WW's in the world (I include Rory and Askren in that), he'd wipe out almost anyone in the UFC at 170 (as would Rory obviously), so Rory doing that he needed to do to get that win is understandable.

Chael is grinding this out so far.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,683 ✭✭✭Subcomandante Marcos

    Charlie did well there.

That was a pretty impressive bodyshot KO against a man with a 12-3 record...
How he got 12 pro wins I'll never know. His kicks were woeful

anyone know how much rampage has to pay chael for the take down bet?

    $30k

3 takedowns, one in each round

If Mir beats Fedor, Chael v Mir will be mental the size difference ,
MIr is by far the better grappler and also can knock him out, Chael is in for a really rough night,

Mir is a better grappler but he's not a better wrestler, there's an important difference there. Odds of chael taking him down are pretty good, but not is good off his back and Chael has been caught a few times being sloppy guard so I could see Mir throwing up a triangle or armbar and finishing it.

That was my point, If Chael gets him down and I don't think he will have an easy time at all due to Mir size, He will still be in trouble on top of Mir ,
    Size difference will be huge,

Great to have Big John and Mike commentating now. I always thought the commentary on Bellator was really poor compared to UFC - it's come on leaps and bounds and comes across way more knowledgeable and in-depth now.

That Pico body shot was vicious - the sound of the impact was something else!

Gallagher v Borics set for Bellator (Budapest) April 6th.

I think there’s going to be another few Irish fighters on it too (Kavanagh, Moore).

Surprised they’ve thrown Borics in with Gallagher to be honest. I’d have thought they’d want to give him their slow build give that they seem to have an interest in Hungary and that Central European market.

    Anyone watching the Bellator card?
Liam McGeary stopped by leg kicks by Fedor's protege.

Patricky Pitbull vs Campos and Nelson vs Meathead reamatches coming up.

Enjoyable stuff so far. That stoppage due to leg kicks was vicious stuff. Precise kicks and with venom

Watching Cage Warriors and Cory McKenna looked unbelievable in her first pro fight.Had a 7-0 amateur record and stopped her opponent tonight after only one round.

    She is only 18!
