Its time for you to engage block mode and wait for the €€€€ to roll in!!

Perhaps Aguero for Benteke is the wise move!
Fabregas would require Cazorla out (to field 11) and Remy out (-4) for Aguero.

    Still undecided...

Missed Remy on first look. I would get Aguero in for sure, seems a pointless risk going without him.

Anyone suggest a decent cheap defender who has a game this weekend? I'm looking for someone as cheap as possible. Already have a Leicester defender so somebody other than that. 5.2 to spend but want to use as little as possible.

Palace have 2 favourable games coming up. Joel Ward at 4.7. Likes to get forward and plays 90 minutes every time. Could be worth a dart, though possibly too pricey for you :)

Stones @ 5.2? Home to Burnley
Or else Dann or Ward (home to WBA)

Is Stones a nailed starter for the rest of the season?

Regarding Lemlins query, options quite limited, I've been defender shopping myself (for somebody with a game this weekend, and I've pretty much unlimited budget) and have similar defence to you currently. Stones is interesting maybe, or I could go for Schlupp as I don't have Leicester and Swansea now without Gomis and have the DGW.

    Others I considered...

Alder for a Soton double up but with 4 of their last 6 away and most of their clean sheets at home (12h vs 3a if I recall) not ideal.

Palace are scoring loads but not great for clean sheets, only 1 since GW 20.

West Brom gone to hell clean sheet wise and awful fixtures.

Swansea maybe, Rangel as 4.9 should be safe enough especially with Taylor out for a couple, although I'd not be certain how nailed he is longer term.

He'd do so. 2 points is all I want. DOn't think the player will play again.

    ..

Think so, he's only not played 90 mins in one of the last 12 gameweeks (3-0 home v NEW - Alcaraz played instead). He missed a sizeable portion of the earlier part of the season, but looks nailed on since January 10th.

I have 10 playing this weekend (if Remy plays).

    Davis

    Bertand Wolly Terry

    Hazard Boyd Silva

    Kane Remy Aguero

Looking at a Leicester defender possibly with one eye on their double GW. I have 2FT and 0.9 ITB. Is Schlupp the best option? Him out for Hutton? That would give me 11 players for this GW and 4 players for the DGW (Terry, Hazard, Sterling, and Schlupp) with 2 FT to bring in another 1 or 2 DGW players next week. What do people think? Decent plan?

Henderson or Fabregas? I only have room for one because I'm not willing to sell Silva for a hit in gwk 34. The rest of my midfield will be Hazard, Sterling, Silva (Boyd)

Fabregas, you have Sterling and that's enough pool mids.

just out of curiosity how many total points do ye 2 guys have?

interesting theory to hold a WC so late in the season.

may be worth doing next season.

    1815 pts
    £104.9 team value

Team was going well from start so didn't need to use it, decided to keep for dgw then.

    Ok. I've decided finally.

    Elliot -> Courtois
    Rooney -> Murray.

    No hit.

    Leaves me with:

    Courtois
    Dawson, Bertrand, Terry
    Mata, Hazard, Eriksen, Silva
    Aguero (c), Kane, Murray.

Barring injuries, next week I'll go:

Dawson -> Moreno/Sahko/Skrtel (depending on who is most likely to play both games)
    Eriksen -> Sterling/Henderson/Coutinho.

Will leave me with 5 DGW players which is just about right for me. Will then hold the Liverpool players for QPR at home before moving them on for ARsenal players for the final 2 weeks of the season.

EDIT: Should also say the -4 hit is negated by doing Elliot to Courtois. As I go from having 1 game for a keeper to having 3 in the next 2 GWs.

1868 had a shocker last week 24 points!! Team wasn't in great shape this week WC probably makes the team a good 10 points better on paper this week and about 30/40 next week!

I'm sure I'm not the only one in this dilemma: I can't decide whether my third Chelsea player for the DGW should be Ivanovic or Fabregas (I currently have Hazard and Remy). I can afford either with a single transfer (Bellerin to Ivan or Ozil to Fab). My main rival does have Terry, so I'm leaning towards defensive coverage to be on the safe side. I'm making the transfer this week.

Ivan will probably be better value but fabregas will probably get more points so really depends on which is the easiest for you to be able to get in.

Wouldn't go treble Chelsea attack. Plenty will be going double Chelsea defence so you'll want Ivan or Terry

McShane at 3.9 is the value you want with a DGW, (unless you need them for this week).

You can bet your bottom dollar that Mourinho's tactics will be to strangle the life out of the next two games (v Utd & Ars). With added DGW advantage you would be crazy not to get Chelsea defensive cover in.

I have doubled up.. So often big games are decided by set piece goals or defensive errors too.. if Chelsea don't concede the bps will be going to defenders & then there is thd possibility of a defender scoring in the tight games.

This is my thinking too. But it is a gamble all the same. I have two chelsea and two southampton defenders at the moment....and Bellerin. Not comfortable with this gamble at all...but the dice is rolled.

May I ask why people are going for Nugent over Vardy? I haven't seen much of Leicester lately but Nugent is another Danny Graham for me. Not a PL striker by any means.

Seen a transfer figure this morning on FFS, 22k in Vardy and only 3k in Nugent.

    I'm in TeamVardy myself

Playing more centrally than Vardy and is on pens.

    How does this look?

This week: Sanchez & Austin -> Fabregas & Vardy, no hit.

Next week: Bertrand & Eriksen -> Moreno & Sterling, -4.

It gives me: Moreno, Schlupp, Terry, Hazard, Fabregas, Sterling, Vardy for the dgwk.

Koeman said clyne just had a rest be a surprise if he didn't start this week definitely wouldn't be feeling confident on Ameobi! Lots will have ten this week so if you do end up like that its not the end of the world as long as the ten are decent.

What are people doing with sturridge? I brought him in for the newcastle game thinking liverpool would win comfortably and then i was gonna bench him this week and keep him for the double. I now have no idea what kind of game time hes gonna get in gw34 or whether hes worth keeping. It seems a waste to transfer him out now, unless people think he'll only scrape a few minutes?

Started off with the exact same plan as you.

I'm gonna hold for now. If I transfer him out now and want to get a another Liverpool DGWer in instead it will end up costing me and at least one extra transfer somewhere along the line, maybe two as it'd be a mid I'd need to get in. I think if he comes back and even plays 120-150 mins in GW34 I may as well keep him. I'll be waiting till Rodgers press conf next week, if he's ruled of of the first game of the DGW I'll have to bite the bullet.

I'll have a look at my team again tomorrow but I think I field a risky 10 with Ameobi.

Naughton needs the chop and maybe Phillips although I'd rather be rid of Ameobi I'd say. Matty P has been my best player for the last month which says everything about where I've found myself :pac:

I'll mastermind my recovery this season yet, ye just wait and see. Pelle and Coleman being key players :D

Rested according to Koeman. He said he wants Clyne to sign a new contract before the end of the season and Clyne wants CL so I could see more "rests" for him.

Rage transferred him out on Monday night. Can't see him getting enough minutes in the DGW to be worth the cost and Liverpool spot

Hes definitely not worth the cost, and ill be transferring him out very quickly once gw34 is over, but i just cant see the sense in using a transfer to ditch a striker of a big team in a dgw. Unless he gets ruled out of the games. i really regret bringing him in, it wasnt part of my plan at all until i convinced myself liverpool were gonna hammer newcastle.

Exactly, its gonna be a 4 or 8 point hit if i ditch him. And even if he plays just one game he could well outscore vardy or whoever else i bring in. Ill most likely keep him, i just have no idea what kind of game time to expect from him. I cant see any way he has two 60+ minute performances, and the worst case could be pretty bad in terms of game time. Supposedly he wont be fit this weekend, not sure if thats good or bad news though

Take a -4 to field a full squad?

Is there any news on Remy?

    Fab

    Dawson - Clyne - Terry -
    Hazard - Silva - Cambiasso - Eriksen
    Benteke - Kane - Aguero

    Bench

    Ozil, PVA, Bruce.

I think my only viable options is to temp switch Beteke for Remy, I'm not sure it's worth it.

I aready have Remy so not going to transfer him out.
I doubt I would transfer him in, though. He is stil doubtful and I don't see any news on his injury.

I sold him just now for Aguero. I tried to be smart thinking Liverpool would hammer Newcastle and he'd start, but alas it was a complete waste. And to top it off, I sold Benteke to bring him in!!

I'll bring him back in for the double game week if he plays well in the FA Cup game and stays fit, but that's unlikely. You win some, you lose some!

I also sold benteke to bring him in. I really wish i hadnt, hes tying up so much money but i just cant justify axing him before a double. Ive never been this stumped before, i have no idea what to do, having considered many different options.
