Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Forgive the quality it was taken through the window of the tractor.

Word is the Mexicans have this job as they're supposedly ment to be a lot cheaper than the Irish as a lad on the building site was telling me one day when I stopped to look all them machines look new but they're sandblasted to sh*t,think the Irish aren't too happy about foreigners getting the job as there's ment to be uproar about not supporting the local economy.

Is that the new bridge across the slaney?

I think they will dig that hill in the picture down to half way and build a bridge from that across the valley and the local caim road will go under the bridge.

Then there is the new ross bypass which is going on now as well.
When finished the new bridge crossing the barrow will be the longest in Ireland??

Ya that's the one. I'd love to be on that job but it's to far away to travel to work.

See that set up in Galway and surrounds quite often; Corrib Oil Truck / Topaz. Long machine alright.

They are a few miles from me.
As you say an ursus main dealer .
They were landini, zetor and ursus main dealers for years.
IMO Ted would be one of the most knowageable zetor mechanics in the business.
Helpful too, on several occasions he has gotton phone calls from us after midnght looking for parts during beakdowns at silage, end result is the parts were left at the shop door for us.
He also carries a large inventory in spares for zetor/ursus, If you need it he probably has it.
He is a bit of a character , id have no issues in buying from him but just make sure you get everything you agreed to like beacons/top link/etc. If they are not on the tractor when you test drive it , they might not be on the tractor when you collect it.
Can i ask what are you looking at?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,668 ✭✭✭White Clover

9935452 has said it all there.
What Ted doesn't know about Zetor isn't worth knowing. I would say it be the same with ursus and landini too. We have 2 Zetors and previously had a landini. Do all the servicing/repairs ourselves but all parts come from whites with plenty of advice/help over the phone if needed.
    Absolutely 100% genuine.

Caterpillar has had the D7e in production for a good few years now. I see the Deere still has a diesel engine to charge those batteries.

The great thing about electric power (that it shares with Steam power) is 100% torque from zero rev's upwards.

Anyone see the new grassmen DVD. Very impressed. Not the usual angle. Loads of interviews with different contractors/businessmen. Really liked the cross chased bin design interview. It was designed by a 22yr old as his college project.

The lad who won the first is from down here. It was in that Christmas lights parade in Carrick. He already owns an immaculate 110-90 which is probably cleaner than the grassmen one. His cousin that I'm friendly with has the same name and everyone thought he won it first
