Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

WOW, I thought Villante had hurt his leg as he stopped throwing kicks, then he cracks him right under the ear. Crazy finish, who knows what way the judges would have went

/edit Villante was putting on a leg kick clinic for the first half of that fight

This card has taken shape nicely, my connection stuttered when Cummins got Kayo'd, pity, I'd like to have caught it. Crazy punch.

Who gets the sub here? Hope it's Miller

Anyone know anything about Dariush? Never heard of him before

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,608 ✭✭✭breadmonkey

Lads how do they differentiate between a KO and a TKO? e.g. why was the Villante finish a TKO but the OSP one a KO? In both cases there was one big shot that rocked the opponent but the fight was stopped by the ref during the subsequent flurry of blows.

My understanding was a TKO was when you get a flurry of blows with nothing coming back but the guy is not "knocked out" but not defending himself.A KO is a knockout where the guy goes limp and is "out" for a few secs. The OSP one had Cummins go limp from the blows so its a KO.

This is the way I think of it. I could be all wrong!

tko ref stops a fight where a guy cant defend himself

ko mark hunt beating big country...out cold

Yes I actually had that Hunt KO in mind. But the OSP KO was nothing like that:confused:

he was out though if not out cold

I'm sure someone can probably explain it better than me

I agree! Some people think Herrig is nice looking but I can't understand where they get that from. Besides that anyway she didn't seem like a very nice person on TUF though. I'd say Dana is rooting for VanZant also!

The UFC advertise some of the worst movies I've ever seen.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,563 ✭✭✭The White Feather

VanZant should look into the camera in those promos and say "Don't hate me because i am beautiful!" :pac:

Mole Man v Holloway will be good too! I will be for Holloway!!

Herring deserved a beating, well done Van Zant, some conditioning to keep going like that for 3 rounds.

Very impressive! Bar the first round (which I thought was even), she dominated. That last round was a 10-8 for me!

Jesus van zant was impressive...only 21 in a big pressure fight and she really showed huge potential...hopefully she's not rushed into a title shot. she needs more time to grow her skill set and get some more experience

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,563 ✭✭✭The White Feather

VanZant clearly broke Herrig there. Showed greater heart and Herrig didn't want to be there

Vanzant is a beast. Herrig looked like she gave up after the 2nd round.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,608 ✭✭✭breadmonkey

Is this on FOX? I think Joe might have mentioned it once or twice...

  • Registered Users Posts: 786 ✭✭✭ps3man

That was the beating we have all been waiting for since TUF 20 for Herrig. VanZant is just incredible. For a division that didn't exist a few months ago, it has been entertaining.

Can't see this going anywhere other than to Cub

Thought I'd be passed out at this stage but it's been a great card from the first fight pass fight...I'd like to see max take this, Think he's improved so much since Conor.

    round one max

could see max taking the second and cub swinging for the rafters in the third

  • Registered Users Posts: 94 ✭✭12thofthe12th

Good first round, Max took it, he has to watch out for cub's power shots though.
