Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Replacing brake pads / shoes on Ultegra BR-6700

When brake pads are worn, is it necessary to replace the brake shoe or is it possible to replace the actual brake pad?

What is the recommended practice - shoe or insert replacement, if that is possible, including ease of fitting etc. etc. Thanks for any assistance that may be offered.

just the pads generally.. there's often a little screw that affixes the pads to the shoes, remove screw, and change pads, very easy job to do yourself once you have the right pads.

Just the pads, easy job. Change mine weekly for racing.
