Getting and Fitting an electric water pump

I have a problem with low water pressure with my washing machine.

Is it going to be a simple matter to put a small electric pump at the pipe before it goes into the hose for the machine?

Can you get them so that you can adjust the pressure?

If I can't do this then I may have to get a new machine and I have a Miele so that would be expensive.

We have tanks on the roof(that are filled from the mains) and so the pressure is probably lower on that account. I think the plumber did say we might not need them but I would have to check with him again as it had gone out of my mind.

We are out in the country so that might explain the setup (at one point we had our our pumps and then there was a water scheme )
