History Leaving Cert OL

Anyone any tips/ suggestions on some good research for History. Its a shame I dont know alot of history of Ireland and so on, i just didnt have a genuine interest in it, but i need to get the head down, i sit the exams next year. I have been out of education 10 years now and returning to sit the full leaving cert. Thanks.
