It’s a pure max power paint job from the late 2000s!! Jesus wept.

You’d think they’d have enough paint left to do the rear the wheelarch

That’s how donedeal does it. It’s previous owners as per the vehicle reg cert.

Yeah but in the owners own description he says the same thing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,499 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

Meh, to be fair he’s straight up about that
0 owners ( car imported from UK in 2015 only 1 owner in UK)

    Car looks awful though

It's not really straight up, just seems a stupid description, it to me sounds like he's trying to make it sound like less than it is.
    It's not 0 owners, it's 2

    Agreed it looks awful!

That’s horrendous. The massive rev counter is kinda cool though.

Goes up to 11,000 rpm. Real handy for an engine that tops out at 6,500

Is one of those spoilers just glued onto the rear window? What happens with all the downforce at 200 mph, does the window just shatter?

    I keep looking at it.

    I still can’t believe he thinks it’s worth €4500.

Looks like he covered it in glue and crashed it through the front windows of Halfords.

Did he just use double sided tape to glue the monstrosity of spoilers to the back window?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,033 ✭✭✭PsychoPete

The top spoiler looks like it started off as a tte spoiler. Must have cost some money in the day to modify that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,675 ✭✭✭ronnie3585

As f*cked as that Corolla is, and my god - it is f*cked. It’s still infinitely better than the pathetic “modified” cars of today, namely German, four door, front wheel drive, daysul family saloons, with the springs and the cats cut out of them and two boo pipes scraping along the ground.

As much as I HATE felt spec, have a look at the pic of the rear of that corolla again.

Sorry I’d take felt spec any day over late 90s max power spec.

The whole modified car scene was so much better back then, every car was different. I remember my brother spending 5 or 6k on pearlesent paint, 1000s on sound systems etc. That's pretty much what got me into cars, now everything is pretty much sh!tty diesels with the same ****ty mods

The scene has changed because now you can walk into a Honda dealership and buy a brand new Civic that comes from the factory looking like that corrolla.

Bodykit and lights are horrendous. Shame as a 130 Quattro was a nice car.

Complete with duct tape bad boy lights, Wolfrace Katana reps and the all important TuRD stickers. Donegal reg as standard. Hasn't seen the inside of an NCT centre since 2015. Not sure if it belongs here or in bangernomics :pac:
