Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Liverpool host a Newcastle team that are in really poor form and are 2nd from bottom of the form table. Newcastle are without injured Aarons, Dummett, Haïdara, S Taylor, Tiote, and De Jong.

Liverpool are without the suspended duo of Gerrard and Skrtel, along with the injured Sakho, Ibe and there is rumors floating that Balotelli will ring in sick.

All points towards a comfortable win for the home side but I'll not be too confident.

Ibe might be available according to Rodgers. I think Liverpool will get the 3 points but, as ever, I wouldn't be very confident.

If you can't be confident about going up against Newcastle, you need to have a word with yourselves.

    We have been beyond awful.

This will be a mauling from Liverpool.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

Newcastle have the fortitude of a crack cocaine hooker holding out for a better price right now, Liverpool will see that gap (mind the gap!) shrinking with a win not too mention jumping back above Southampton and putting daylight between us and Spurs. Jordon Ibe is back though whether he'll start is another matter - he might be one to unleash with 25 to go.

Maybe...Liverpool have an awful habit of making the pottentially easy look very difficult.

It won't be a mauling. We haven't mauled any team in a long while. I'd be annoyed not to win though as ye are in a bad place generally.

    3-3

A pointless game between two mid-table teams might throw up a few goals.

Who's bottom of the form table?

Hard to believe there's a worse team than Newcastle about

A boring 0-0 game, all the players minds will be on the season premiere of Game of Thrones.

Hull City. They're in the North East also, I didn't pay any attention to who was in third but Sunderland cant be far off.

    6-0 Liverpool.

Only question is whether or not they reach double figures.

Very comfortable win for Liverpool, Newcastle are in dreadful form. 3-0

Can Liverpool handle the immense pressure they are under to catch the top 4 ?

Can back in alongside Toure and Lovren as we go back to our 3-at-the-back.
Johnson and Moreno out wide, with Lucas and Hendo in the middle, and a front 3 of the Count, Sterling and Sturridge.
Bench options include Balo, Lambert, Allen, Ibe and Marko, with Stevie & Skrtel still suspended and Sakho crocked.

3-0 Pool. We were playing great until 4 weeks ago, I think we can get back to that...

We shall beat Newcastle and everyone will cheer the F**K up.

The beatings will continue until morale improves!

    indeed.
Newcastle have suffered more Kop beatings over the last 20 years than an unarmed African-American male.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,098 ✭✭✭MonkeyTennis

Not sure if they will get away with that one. :-)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,128 ✭✭✭✭Oranage2

    Bit distasteful that

Anyway a nervy pool win by a goal or 2.

The good old days. I''d take it tonight too, could do with a super exciting game. Or a 6-0 win... that'd do too.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,098 ✭✭✭MonkeyTennis

    No Sturridge .. :-(

I'll miss the first half so hoping this thread is kept well posted. Should be an easy home win but you just never know how morale and the pressure of not being able to afford anything less than 3 points can affect a team.

I'll be here regardless, can't say the same about you in the United thread though. I miss you popping in on Friday evenings after your few cans of Dutch courage...

    Like clockwork you were.
