Help! The alarm outside goes off and the sockets all over the house has no power supply (the lights are all fine). When I turn the trip switch up, the electricity goes back on EXCEPT the noise goes off inside the house. The alarm pad is dead as well (no battery probably) Has this ever happened to anyone before? Any advice/help appreciated.

The battery is probably dead. What make of system is it?
For now the best thing to do is remove the mains fuse at the panel & disconnect the old battery. The panel will be powered down & the external bell should stop after 20 minutes or so.

The rcd switch is off on your fuse board. Go to your board there should be a switch down it might be blue or red but it will one of the larger ones. It should have 20amp mcbs to the right of it
