Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There'll be report up here in a short while - http://foot.ie/forums/93-Wexford-Youths

Finn Harps got their customary red card against us too, could have been two even. In the last 9 times we've played Harps, they had a player sent off in 7 of them.

The Shels fans arrived in Cobh in the 52nd minute. :D

I wonder what time they left Dublin at?

Very windy at Ferrycarrig Park on a freshly sanded pitch which hadn't seen any rain to bed it in. As a result, not much flowing football from either side. Neither keeper really troubled for the entire game.

Harps deserved the win as they bossed the physical side of the game, as expected. However, some of it was over the top and not dealt with by a weak referee. A kick at our LB off the ball by the Harps No.7 was spotted by the lino, who called the ref over. Only a yellow given. In the 2nd half, a Harps player headbutted a man in front of the other lino and was off

After that, Harps resorted to the worst time wasting and play acting seen in Wexford for a long time. Effective, I'll grant you but nothing to be proud of. Near the end we had the ball in the next, but the ref called it back for a free to us. Not even 1 second allowed to see if we got any advantage

Harps will be very hard to beat this ear, but I personally couldn't watch that week in, week out

    PS; Ollie never disappoints, legend

Sounds like the reverse of us and Athlone last week. We had cleaned up our act well this year from the 5 games id been to. (4 home and Galway).
Id rather not see a return to last season. Actually have got the ball down and tried to play, when the Finn Park pitch allowed.

Ha even Ollie has been calm... Well relatively, bar one set of woeful calls last week!

Tough one for us in Dalymount tonight. We havent really got started yet and Bohs are on a good run of form but I think we will win it by a goal. Clarke, Bermo and Bolger back is a big boost.

Got the margin of victory and the result right anyway! :D Thought it was an ok match with a good atmosphere. Our defence was very good, limited Bohs to mostly speculative crosses. Bohs had two very good setpieces and one header at the end which was straight at the keeper. That was really it as far as chances were for them.

Our back five plus Bolger played really well. Forrester was also quite good. Brennan was poor enough and took a very weak penalty which was easily saved. Conan Byrne was also fairly poor. Greene tried hard but not that much came off for him, Pender had him well marshallied, he did somewhat better in the 2nd half when he started to come away from the wing and into the middle. Still not entirely sure about Kilduff even though he scored.

Phew. Didn't think it would be a 3-0 game after that first half. A serious contender for our worst half of football under Stephen Kenny. Thankfully we got a penalty early in the second half which settled us down and we started to finally string some passes together.

Towell's third goal was a beauty. I was right behind him when he struck it and the curl on the ball as it came back inside the post was magic. Seven goals already this season for Richie. Mini Horgan played well for Galway. Shocked with that Pats result. Eight points behind already. Looking ominous for them.

Longford should have scored early on but after that Cork were better side but nothing special bar 15 minute spell in 2nd half.

Longford should have scored though after it was 2-0. About 2,500 at it.

Fair play to the 10 Longford fans who made it. Created good noise for so few.

Comfortable win in Bray. Controlled the game after the first goal by Mikey Drennan. 6 goals now and should have had another tonight.

Decent game tonight Alan Byrne and Ciaran Kilduff combined well to ensure it ended with us only scoring 2.

Dont think Kilduff gets we will get the ball to his feet in the box, we will not kick long to his head.

Could've been five or six easily. Bray need to get their offside trap fixed. Even still ,it was a good professional performance with a makeshift defence with Gavin Brennan at left back...

Galway deserve a lot of credit for their first half performance though. They are a very useful side and try to play football.

Just looking at fool.ie. I see Dundalk are now in phase 2 of temporary champions delirium whereby teams are now patted on the head and praised for coming up and 'having a go' in the face of the insurmountable Real Madrid odds. :)

Don't mind him. Seems he has just entered phase 1 of champion envy whereby rival fans desperately try and find anything at all, no matter how trivial, to tarnish the name of their more illustrious and talented opponents.

Are you talking about the legal wranglings over the Youth Development Centre?

The Casey family own Oriel Park and have had a long term lease arrangement with the club for many years. Nothing's changing there anytime soon.

In other news Stephen Kenny put pen to paper on a one year extension today.

Awh it's the family who own it, not just Des? Heard Des's health isn't 100% these days.

It's held in trust afaik in order that it's used for football.

It's held in trust alright but it's a very, very legal complex situation.Matthews(the previous owner) claims he can have right of way to the building behind the shed and the owners are saying no you cant.Matthews says he built with the full backing of the Caseys and has a right to be there even though he has no more to do with the club.Meanwhile with the lease in dispute and ongoing legal problems the club cant apply for grants from Goverment departments to upgrade the ground.
At one meeting i was at years ago involving Matthews he said he would tear down the YDC(Youth Development Centre) if that what was what needed to keep Dundalk FC in business! Now the club have quids he seems to have reneged on that.

    It's a pressed situation.

Full respect to Matthews though,he provided the bucks to keep the show on the road here when it was needed even though he hated football and hardly ever attended a match.I just wish it could all get sorted and fairly quikcly to
