Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Monreal has been excellent this season. He's made the left back berth his own. I really don't think there is that much between them

Azpilicueta is streets ahead of Monreal.

Azpilecuta is far better than Monreal. He might not make too many marauding runs but he is a fine defender!

He's better alright but saying he's far better would make me think you haven't seen Monreal much this year. If there was an award for most improved player, Monreal would almost certainly be in contention.

    Lol, Quality reply.

I think Dave is miles ahead of Monreal myself. Considering he is a RB who has adapted to LB with ease.

I'd say you're in a minority thinking they are close, Azpilicueta is nearly 4 years younger and a miles better defender.

Everyone saying Azpilicueta is miles better than Monreal clearly hasn't watched much of Monreal this season. People form their opinions and it's very hard to get them to change especially when they aren't watching the player in question.

Many arsenal fans would have agreed with the assessment last year but not based on his performances this season. That's not to say that Monreal is a better player though.

And Sanchez does have an issues with losing the ball, but he hasn't really played many games up front at all this season.

In fairness improving from being awful to being decent wouldn't put him in the same class as Azpi who has been pretty much top class since he arrived at Chelsea and especially the past couple of years. Even Felipe Luis hasn't been able to shift him.
