Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Plenty of the ball but not really anything happening for utd. Might have been different if Rooney took the early chance.

Jesus Chelsea are jammy, Blind and Carrick are a terrible miss for us..

This is not the game I watched.

The one I was watching is the one where United haven't had a shot on target, which one were you watching?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

Really missing Carrick. Herrera is an excellent CM but not as effective in that area of the pitch as Carrick.

Valencia all over the shop for the goal. Doesn't spot the danger. Mourinho really squeezes the life out of the Big games. It's not really fun to watch.

Utd are well in the game. The left side for them is getting joy nearly every time their out that side.

Falcao off for Blackett. McNair to Cdm, Rooney up front hopefully.

    Not yet......key word is yet.

Big 45 to come, more of the same id reckon. With Utd having the majority of the ball.

Why change tack now? Classic Mourinho performance this.

I think the original error is the ref - Terry's tackle on Falcao was a foul, but in fairness to the ref he seems to be ducking out of all the decisions for both teams. He's waving on play for a lot of tackles that would pick up frees with other refs, and De Gea did handball outside the box.

He didn't disagree united didn't score he disagreed with your suggestion united are lumping long balls to Fellaini. You also said united are keeping possession 40 yards from goal, that may be a more fair assessment than your other comment about Fellaini and lump ball

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,064 ✭✭✭BKtje

What's this talk about de gea should be off? Hit him on the wrist sure but he made no effort to move his hands towards the ball and it seems his arms were by his side or even in front of his body. A free? Of course. A yellow? Maybe but red? Would have been very very harsh.

Yeh I stand corrected, their possession has been really menacing and Chelsea have looked in a mess at the back... lol

Dunno, thought you might have learnt from last time when United were 1-0 down to City. Still 45 minutes to play, only one goal behind and United are all over them in general play. Have some faith.

Can see RVP coming on for Falcao shortly anf that will be the end of his Utd career. Not enough done to warrant a permanent move unfortunatly

They can have all the ball they want. They're up against a rock and a hard place in Zpuma and Matic.
Never mind the back four and T-booow yeahhh!

Would De Gea have been sent off if it was spotted though. A yellow would have been enough. There was a Utd player there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

United played well in that first half and are unlucky to be behind. With all their possession though they haven't had a shot on target. We have been pretty poor on the ball but at the moment the game plan is working.

True, but City looked like the Harlem Globetrotters for the first 15 minutes of that game. They only looked poor after United made them look poor. United so far do not look poor.

    Herrera ???????????????

Herrera off the hook there. Hazard should have headed it, surely he can get his head higher than his foot!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,632 ✭✭✭✭Sand

Shaw is definitely beginning to make a case for him being the first choice left back.

The ref is letting Chelsea get away with a lot of fouling.

He's letting everyone get away with it in fairness - he's definitely from the "Football is a mans game/contact sport" school of thought, I reckon a red card could happen though. Players will think the ref is letting anything go and will finally do something the ref cant find an excuse to ignore.

Wayne Rooney is the new Tom Cleverly!
