Great quiz Autumn Harsh Cloud :)
am wondering.... might you have another question for us?
(I am not quite sure how the thread works yet, but I am neither sharp nor clever enough to know interesting factoids, and didn't know I was close to the answer.) :o

The original idea here was "Answer a question, pose a question" but we've always been very fast and loose with that. There is no rush, take your time, google something and ask away whenever.
There is no subject limit, the questions are meant to be easy though of course we've played fast and loose with THAT rule too :)

I know it's a Batman movie from the 90s with Poison Ivy but I don't know which one. So, there's a clue for somebody to pounce on.

You want me to scratch the back of my what?? ;)

Struggling. All I see is numbers of participants in something and can't shake that from my mind, to clear space for other options.

That's not the point. Tell me if and when you want to give up as nobody else seems to be attempting this one.

So is the question what links these Nobel winners?

    As in posthumously?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,636 ✭✭✭feargale

    As in posthumously?

Correct. In one case the laureate had, unknown to the adjudicators, died three days before the award. In the other three cases death occurred between the award and the presentation. The original rule was that prizes could be given only to living people, but the rule was amended to accomodate the foregoing.

    Your question?

Pink Floyd, The Wall as first album?!?!!?

Defiantly not a list of first albums. Perhaps biggest selling ones? Naa, wait, DSOTM would have been a bigger seller I'm guessing.

I think Ted and Old Goat have it between you, yes they are best selling (so i am told) albums. (Michael Jackson Bad btw).

    Throw in one each!

Aspic is used as a food preservation method but just what is aspic?

    Gelatine, often made with isinglass.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,920 ✭✭✭✭looksee

Well its a kind of gelatine isn't it? Though I didn't realise it was a food preservative, just a tasty glaze/jelly thing. I suppose that would keep air off the meat but I wouldn't like to rely on it!

Venice? Unless you're thinking of that city in Asia (can't remember where precisely) where everything is done on water, and all the market "stalls" are on boats.
