    Hi

If a main contractor builds a new extension . . Including electrical , mechanical , fire detection system . . . . .does anyone know the complete list of certs required for the safety file at handover ( including design , installation, commissioning , handover certs )?

Does an etci period inspection cover for an Electrical installation cert ?

The ETCI cert can only be written by the contractor that wired the installation , or in the case where a property has to be re-connected to the network then a cert can be done by another contractor.

Where a cert is just required for insurance, RAS schemes, etc , a periodic cert is issued as there are no new works done, its just an inspection on the day. Where an electrician wires an extension a cert should be issued for the extension as there is more than one new circuit there.
