You often see on ebay and the likes brands such as Ralph Lauren, with clothes going a fair whack cheaper then the official store. Maybe €50 for a polo instead of €80. Is this just employees using their discounts to buy clothes cheaply, especially during a sales where they get there discount on top of the sale price, and they sell them for extra cash.
Would you make much money doing this ?

Once things are out of season some companies sell them off you can also pick things up from liquidated companies. Its not fake stuff but it is the stuff that didn't really sell.

Some brands its really easy to get hold of which is why you see it in places like tk maxx so often. Having a look now there are Calvin Klein tops rrp£75 available at 10 for £89.90. CK & Hillifiger stuff is always available.

We live in a crazy world where the goods can be seized if they are 100% genuine items that you have purchased and paid the excise duty on them, not worth the hassle....
The vast majority of the stock -- estimated to be worth up to €32,000 -- was made up of Abercrombie & Fitch clothing along with some Hollister brands, which is owned by the same parent company.
Under the 1996 Tradesmarks Act, it is illegal to sell trademarked goods from the US in Ireland unless they are licensed to be sold here and the manufacturer has given consent.
Brendan Considine, a private investigator hired by Abercrombie & Fitch, told the Limerick District Court court he had conducted a "test purchase" at McGazz on May 26.

I remember that story scary stuff! You definitely need to make sure you get it from legit sources. The stuff you see on certain market stalls is ridiculous drives me crazy how they are allowed to do it.

Or they are bought in the factory outlet stores when there's a discount.

I had a 30% off card for Ralph Lauren in Kildare recently, polo tops ended up costing just under €25. (normal = 34.99 each when you buy 2)
