I have two speakers at 1000 watts program
(500 watt rms @8 ohm each side)

Would the following spec power amp match the speakers??

    Power Amp Specifications:
    4Ω stereo: 2 x 500Wrms
    8Ω stereo: 2 x 250Wrms
    8Ω bridged: 1 x 800Wrms
    Max power: 1600Wmax @ 8Ω

    it'd do a job stereo wise anyway@ 250w

to get the 500w out of it you'd need 2 8ohm speakers on each side,
which would drop the impedance to 4ohms.

is 250 watts a side enough for pub gig? acoustic, vocal and electric miced

Depends on the pub, the tops are fairly solid, i'd be more questioning the quality of the Amp, Prosound wouldn't exactly be top of my list. RMS can be a bit of a minefield in terms of accuracy too, it tends to be overstated by manufacturers.

If you've the opportunity to try it first with the speakers, give it a go, it might be fine.

talking something around 500-650 watts rms @ 8 0hm regarding a power amp?

i'm thinking something that strong could be fairly pricey
