    Hello,

After many times I nearly pulled the trigger I'm going ordering my new build. My poor old MacBook just can't handle it anymore :( My budget is €1500 and i will be using it for gaming of course and using the Adobe Suite(Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects) Below is the build that I put together myself. Anybody feel that I'm missing something or am I good to go and order?

    Intel Core i7-4790K Box, LGA1150 359,99 €
ASUS Z97-PRO Gamer Gaming MB, Sockel 1150, ATX 131,90 €
    8GB-Kit Crucial Ballistix Sport Series DDR3-1600, CL9 59,99 €
    8GB-Kit Crucial Ballistix Sport Series DDR3-1600, CL9 59,99 €
Nanoxia Deep Silence DS 3 Dark Black, ohne Netzteil 70,00 €
    be quiet! PURE POWER L8 700W 92,21 €
    Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 Gaming, 4GB GDDR5 403,51 €
    Seagate Barracuda 7200 1000GB, SATA 6Gb/s 57,23 €
    Samsung SSD 850 EVO SATA 6Gb/s 250 GB 111,99 €
    ASUS BC-12D2HT/BLK/B Bulk Silent 60,60 €
    HVZPCDE Rechner - Zusammenbau 5,00 €

If someone could help me on the terms of the Case and PSU. I want the build to be as quite as it possibly can be. Are these the right components to choose?

**EDIT I forgot to mention I already have a monitor and a copy of Windows***

That's a good quiet case. Where you buying from?

Hardwareversand after geizhals.de should knock 80-90 off that easily. 970 is only about 372 on it.

Cheaper be quiet PSUs available, I think the System Power 7 700ws are 68 or 70.

Can get cheaper optical drives too, didn't look into that unless its blu-ray or something.

Get Cooler Master Hyper Evo 212 if you intend on over clocking, they're €28 or so

First of all, are you overclocking? Because you've chosen a suitable motherboard and a K-series CPU, which is only of value if you are overclocking.

If you want the benefits of the i7, but aren't overclocking, check out the Xeon CPU's. Much cheaper and same thing, just without IGP but makes no difference in this build.

    Power supply is way overkill.

403 is insane for a GTX970. You can get R9 290's which trade blows with or are just marginally under the 970 for as low as €280.

    No I'm not overclocking

Yeah its a blu ray drive as I have quite a few blu rays

Per your recommendations I have made revised the build and is a bit cheaper:

    Intel Xeon E3-1231v3 Box, LGA1150 274,90 €
    MSI Z97 PC Mate, Sockel 1150, ATX 90,29 €
    16GB Kit Crucial Ballistix Sport Series DDR3-1600, CL9 119,05 €
Nanoxia Deep Silence DS 3 Dark Black, ohne Netzteil 70,00 €
    be quiet! SYSTEM POWER 7 600W - bulk - 76,31 €
    MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming 4G, 4GB GDDR5 369,99 €
    Seagate Barracuda 7200 1000GB, SATA 6Gb/s 57,23 €
    Crucial SSD 500GB BX100 186,08 €
    ASUS BC-12D2HT/BLK/B Bulk Silent 60,60 €

    Total value: 1.309,45 €

Fairly sure the MX100s are 175, but open to correction.

Edit* Not a big deal but might as well. Use geizhals.de too, unless they're building it for you

Only have them in 128GB and 256GB version. Is the modified build okay. I swapped out the motherboard for a cheaper one as I won't be overclocking

Ah never realised that, must be the BX' I'm thinking of. Yeah you're good to go I think

Cheers. Been waiting for a while. The Macbook is on its last legs!

Tighter, wouldn't go for a 512GB SSD myself, 240GB + storage drive would be ample I think, and 600W is still way overkill for that setup. Unless you plan adding a second GTX970, any decent quality 450w will be more than enough.

Surprising how quickly a 256gb SSD fills up though. Personal preference I suppose. A 120 for os and a 256 for games might be another way, only €10 more

I have a 240GB SSD for my OS, work programs, and the games that I play regularly - and a 1TB drive for the games I play sparingly. Unless you're a serious gamer, can't see the use for a 512GB SSD, given that such a drive should only be used for frequently accessed programs, and not storage.

Mine is always wedged :pac: Different strokes I guess.

Build is good to go with whatever SSD you choose anyways OP

Cheers went with the 500 in the end. Having too much storage to spare is never a bad thing! Thanks for all your help and input guys!
