    Hi

Can someone please tell me . . . Do you need an RCD on each socket circuit . . . . Or can the one RCD serve a number of socket circuits?

The one rcd can feed numerous circuits, ensure your total load of all circuits combined isn't larger than the rating of the rcd, also ensure rcd is 30mA rated. Good practice to put each individual circuit on its own rcbo if possible.

To comply with ET101 each instantaneous shower must have a dedicated RCD.

Standard practice in industrial and commercial installations would be to have an RCD (or RCBO) per circuit. Deviation from this would be considered by many as bad practice.
However it would be normal in domestic installations for a single RCD to supply multiple socket circuits.
