Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My budgie has just started loosing more feathers then normal he is on his own doesn't have company I was wondering could that be the case or do they shead for summer

They do moult their feathers & can look bald in places for a week or two.

I would get him a friend though as Budgies are very social & it is not fair to keep them on their own.

My budgie is going through the same thing, they moult their feathers a couple of times a year. They can get very itchy with their pinfeathers coming through so you can make him more comfortable with a little spray of clean water (away from drafts).
He'll be much better in a week or two! Although if he is continually loosing feathers or becomes very bald it may be parasites and you can pick up a spray in the vets.
