Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Also, Mourinho is the first to piss and moan when teams like West Ham play his version of Catenaccio against his teams.

    This is the exact reason.
He moaned and slagged West ham when they done it against Chelsea, does no one remember it???
It was this time last season all this rubbish started, blaming ball boys, blaming media, blaming everyone else when his team couldnt get a result against a inferior team, eg, villa and sunderland...
Remember when Chelsea played Atletico Madrid last season, Jose was a genius after the first leg according to some on here. And everyone got a lesson in the second leg, it was great, Jose had no one to blame but himself.
Park the bus football died that night.

Yes they do. Somebody on this very forum pointed out a couple months ago the amount of money they have spent over the last few years. The idea of them as a plucky underdog with homegrown players is a myth. They aren't Bilbao.

Chelsea's net spend was below Atleti's last season and there wouldn't be a massive difference over the last 3 years.

Net spend? Using net spend always give a bias to bigger spending clubs as they can offset it selling off the flops

Ya look at all the seasons before, they lose the best players every season for huge amounts of money, they have to spend. Chelsea Dont lose the best players every season and they play the same sort of football.

Im not arguing with you, it wasnt me who mentioned how much they spend every season. I was just saying how much theyve spent this year.

Turan has been living dangerously from the get go. No surprise there.

At least three Atletico players had their hands on the ref there, think Gabi tied to slap the red out of his hand.

    Ref bought it.

High foot yellow card. Why does Ronnie and Co always belittle it? Are plucky underdogs allowed foul???

You could ask the same about the likes of Chelsea.

    But people do.

Idiotic from Turan when he's already on a yellow. Can have no complaints.

Football in general is getting very hard to watch, falling out of love with the game more every year.

Ramos is one of those players I'd love to see creased in a tackle. Nothing career threatening, just a Norman Hunter type effort.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,037 ✭✭✭✭niallo27

For me the ref has to think does he deserve to be off for that. He has to use common sense.

I thought it was just me, i really dont care too much about it anymore. Money has completely ruined it, seeing these huge grown men throwing themselves down on the ground like drunk babies also makes me very angry.

Its not the football that bothers me, its the play acting, rolling around, diving and general being a pussy that bothers me.

Trying not to sound too much lime an old timer but football back in the 1980's was much better. Not as much play acting.

People complain about lack of football on display then moan when the spoiler in chief is sent off...
