Bank Draft question.

    Just a general bank draft question.

    If I buy a bank draft made out to a particular company.

    Does the money leaves my account immediately ?

    and if so how long is the bank draft then valid for before I must use it ?

    Hi Zimmerframe, 

    Thank you for contacting us here on Boards.ie.

    When you purchase a Domestic Bank Draft in branch the funds will be debited from your account immediately and there is no expiry on the domestic draft itself. 

    Just to mention, bank drafts can only be issued for amounts of E500 and above and remember to bring photo identification with you on the day.
