Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Channelling the audience that's all.

That's my #1 bugbear about him too. Occasionally an interviewee says something really, really interesting, that comes a bit out of the blue. But Tubs has zero ability (or confidence maybe?) to follow the new direction and go down that new road of questions and see where it leads. He has to stick with what is on his bloody cue cards, come hell or high water.

and every year, he's "upping his game".

Two class guests for a change, Richard E Grant and Gabriel Byrne.

Whereas Graham Norton is due to have Mark Ruffalo on AGAIN... janey, that's 3 times in last 12 months, twice on a unicycle.....

I like Gabriel too. At least he's honest. Lol about what he said about Bono and Ed Sheeran turning up at every opportunity, so true.

I hate the way Ryan Tubridy asks a question, let's the interviewee answer and then bounces on to the next question. He never ever develops on what the interviewee says. It's always annoyed me about him. No such thing as an indepth interview.

if you study his body language after asking the questions, you can see he is just urging their answers on, awaiting his opportunity to pounce with new prewritten question. Just nods and agrees.

He looks unbelievably bored like he wasn't expecting to be kept on the couch and is now seething.

I think he is polite enough to sit and listen and let Richard have the limelight. Another guest would be constantly trying to but in.

True, but I thought he would have the experience and know-how to look 'engaged and enthralled' at the side of the convo rather than looking bored.

Yes, or his chance at a prewritten "joke".

The worst is when someone looks like they're about to say something really interesting or profound and Tubridy completely cuts them off, sometimes mid-sentence and forces them to talk about something else.

Lol at the eyebrows in the audience.

That young fella who plays Richard was going out with Jennifer Lawrence if I'm not mistaken.

Gabriel Byrne is a straight talker.. I dont think he likes the fawning nonsense that Tubridy comes out with... I think he would be a lot more interesting if the interviewer was stronger, more forthright.... Somebody like Gabriel (Mary) Byrne...

Interesting story for ye... well, it's not really, but it is the ad break after all...

Went to Motor Factors in Portlaoise and bought a siphon for 4.99... thinking great, I can get some fuel out of the car in the future and not have to keep bringing the smelly can in the back of the car.... So I take the siphon out of the plastic cover and look at the instructions..... "Not meant for flammable liquids: for example petrol, diesel, etc etc"...

I got upset, took out my hacksaw and cut it up in to small pieces and put it in the bin....

    End of Story...

    *roll credits*..
