Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Never liked this guy much... Always stuck me as somebody who wanted to become Mayor more so that he could stick his two fingers up to the establishment, moreso than that he could actually do some good..

Normally recovering alcoholic comes across fairly differently. This guy who I've never heard of before actually seems like he's proud of it all and nearly showing off in relation to his drinking antics.

He and SF voted to have property tax reduced in Dublin by 15%. Fair enough.

Dublin City Council are responsible for housing.

Few weeks later he's on the telly blaming the government for having no money for the homeless after that fella died in front of the Dail.

You can't vote for cutbacks and complain when you've no money for services.

    That seriously pissed me off.

When talking about his drinking it was much more in the spirit of guess what shenannigans I got up to last night after a few too many then anything else.

Well, he does belong to the "money grows on trees" viewpoint which seems to be fashionable now!

I think he's using his story as a lesson to others. I don't get the impression he's boasting.

    Name them (realistic ones).

Tell me how you'll implement them.

He's now claiming CPAD wasn't an IRA and Sinn Fein backed group.. absolute rubbish, but from an alco jakey with a history of gun offences why expect any different I guess.

Fairly common amongst most who come from that background. The anti-drug movement had nothing to do with SF/IRA. Best joke of the night.
