Good test tomorrow, bad record at St.Mary's. Manager will most likely get a hostile reception. Hopefully an entertaining game with Kane doing the business.

Only realised now it's on tomorrow morning and not Sunday as I thought, the Saints seem to be gone off the boil lately like ourselves. You wouldn't know what to expect from Spurs tomorrow hopefully we'll put in a decent performance and Harry will bang in a couple.

Southampton have only conceded 10 goals at home in the league all season.

But upfront they are a bit blunt so they probably can't wait for our defense to help them out that to bed.

    2 - nil Southampton.

But a bad finish to the season may result in more people wanting out in the summer. I'd like a strong finish to hopefully give them something to build on.

Lloris (c), Dier, Fazio, Vertonghen, Davies; Bentaleb, Mason; Chadli, Eriksen, Lamela; Kane

Vorm, Chiriches, Yedlin, Dembele, Stambouli, Townsend, Soldado

    Yey Lloris.

Mason & Bentaleb again paired in midfield, if both sit then we'll struggle. Kane needs support.

    Dier at RB, no pace.

Lamela needs to stay out wide and help defensively.

I think we'll struggle in the middle.

In fairness to lamela be is one of the better pressers in the squad

I have nothing but disdain for the EL but be careful what you wish for, we could end up playing pre-qualifying EL games.

As for today I am predicting 2-1 to either side, so sitting on the fence.

I still think Lamela could improve but at the moment he is not good enough and commits a lot of stupid fouls and wouldnt be shocked to see him getting red.

He drifts into the middle constantly, offering no width. Either stay out wide or play him behind the striker.

I don't see us winning this. They'll boss the midfield, and take advantage of our shocking defense.

Forgot Shane Long plays for Southampton, glad he's not starting.

Glad Lloris back today...without him we would be further down the table.

    Sainta And Spurs
    :)

=(:-) Me? I know who I am. I'm a dude playing a dude disguised as another dude (-:)=

Dier and Lamela would have anyone nervous. Davies is slow and just not very good. Verts & Fazio should be able to handle Pelle in the air, Long would do them both in pace if he features.

Spurs have started well but in the back of my mind is " when is the disaster going to strike?"

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,467 ✭✭✭mushykeogh

Lamela, skillful but weak as a kitten.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,746 ✭✭✭irishmover

Everyone seems to be working their socks off. Lamela has looked as good as anyone else.

    Good game so far.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,910 ✭✭✭Sugarlumps

Decent game, Lamela has been in some good positions, his final ball isn't cutting thus far.

Mason was as much to blame. Either way, typical Spurs.

Gifting teams needless goals, these chumps would get destroyed in the CL. Ref ain't giving us much.
