I have spent most of my adult life monitoring it's rise and fall and hoping that I had cattle fit when it was ascending
When it reaches €5/kg I will happily close my account and re-reg under a new name :)

Ha! Since Cromwell's time royalty never took a fancy to south Galway, for obvious reasons.

My username was thought of around the time Anglo Irish bank were read their “last rites”. I suppose it’s also a reminder to me that the banks will remain a potent symbol of catastrophic regulatory failure and a failed political system where the buck stopped nowhere

The dog's name is Holly and we often just call her hollybolly! I also call her budgie for some strange reason. Himself calls her puppy even though she is 10 years old. Guess we are all a bit daft!

Ah Lads! A bit of Gaelic must be in order!

Or is this a sign of the forfeiture of sovereignty because Trichet can make elected officials leave parliament to 'interview' him?

Nope, didn't see it. Don't watch much TV anymore, and when I do, its not RTE.

Don't know if you saw the cover of "The Phoenix" a few issue ago, where Angela is meeting the greet Finance Minister?

Haven't got to see The Phoenix with years (more's the pity). I do miss it though.
I hate to see the Irish State turned into a vassal of the Bundestag. :(
